There were several marine infantry brigades in Stalingrad.
92nd is probably known for defending the grain elevator (together with 13th guards rifle)

37th and 154th marine brigade were also in Stalingrad (probably forgetting some).

Ah interesting! Then we should have them :D Although the oppurtunity also exists to have the game expand to other Eastfront theatres and if we do get Sevastapol and the marines in large numbers they could hopefully then also be added to the Grain elevator map as well.

That would be cool.

Yeah, hopefully the uniforms will be adjusted in the future. Not a high priority to me though.
But knowing TWI they will, once more important things are done.
My confidence in TWI is as it allways was.

Well it is a low priority, for sure, TW just needs to keep pushing on with the bug fixes and stuff for now.

Although my confidence has been shaken with the addition of things like the MP40/II, Saddle drums and so on. But i remain confident these can be rectified.

Trully, Soviet Naval Infantry is so fascinating...

As some Russian high commander said (I don't remember who exactly): "Soviet marine is not an infantryman boarded on a ship, but a sailor educated to fight on the ground".
All these thing like MG belts, telnyashkas, sailor caps, black pea coats, s**t load of grenades, their own fleet language.

1st and 2d brigades of Volga's Flotilla, 66th, 154th, 92th, 93th brigades, 27th Guards (ex-75th marines), where were a lot in Stalingrad battle, I missed something for sure.

Sadly, TWI has to work on bugs now, there is a so many ways to improve this game are missing... :)

I have used the MP40/2 and it's not as good as people are thinking. It's a neat toy but ultimately the MP40 is just as effective. You have to hit a switch to use your second clip, and you have to load each clip individually. Most of the time I find my self just working off the first clip anyway. The rate of fire on the MP40 is so slow you almost always are finished fighting before you even think about switching to your second clip. Drum Mag PPSH is still way better.

Red Tide is great. Best game in whole series so far. And I love the way they presented with the historical facts and memories of soldiers.

Well see the problem i have is not that it may be effective, the problem i have is that it is a failed protoype that may not have even seen frontline service. At least the Mkb 42(H) existed had ~7-12,000 and was on the Eastern Front.

Also, get rid of the post-war Czech trigger guard TW please.

Very well thought system, it would be a nice change with more authenticity, and no insane "realism only rifle and eat and poop". It would actually balance the game a bit more, IMO.

However, there's one problem there. People who purchased the DDE were promised day 1 unlocks. I'm didn't, but I bet they'd be asking "Where are my unlocks?". And they RAGE.

I'd give up my DE unlocks to have the damn game fixed! Besides, you will still have access to the unlocks per those classes.

And the unlocks or classes don't have to change for 'relaxed realism' servers. People can still play with their Mkb's and whatever with that so all the unhistorical unlocks and weapons are there :)

Hero weapon Thompson for Rushkies? I LIKE!

In all seriousness werent the thompsons sent along with lend leased shermans & often not used due to a shortage of .45ACP ammo?

Not enough .45ACP in Russia (Americans found the drum magazine prone to jams, rattled and took long to reload bullets into the magazine)

Nice proportion of bolts to autos and semis.

I would not give SLs the option to have bolts though they need to be leading the charge with smoke etc.

Also still too many semis IMO. Let SLs choose between SMG/semi and nix the "elite rifleman" class.

These changes or something of a similar nature look good to me. Certainly way better than the current weapon distribution. Would be nice to see a few of those new weapons too

I haven't given the SL oppurtunity to use Semi, only the Commander can unlock a semi-auto. So if he takes one there will be 4 Semi-Auto's.

Bolt's for leaders is because on some maps a bolt is more useful than a SMG, even in assault situations, like Fallen Fighters. Plus the Commander should be encouraged to hang back using the radio.

I disagree with your list because of one glaring factor (that's in the game presently as well).

There should be LOADS more PPSH than MP40.

I have posted pictures from Stalingrad of about 50 different PPSH. In my search I may have seen 5 MP40s. They just weren't handed out to the average solder.

Now I'm not saying that they model this PERFECTly in game, but perhaps assault roles for Russians should be 4 and Germans 2.
Furthermore German Assault role should unlock PPSH at Front Line solder (level 2) and PPSH should start with Drum mag as default (slower reload) and unlock box mags (optional selection, faster reload, more ammo).

Germans should also have 1 more MG role than Russians and Suppression from MG fire should be severely buffed as that is what they are for.

What do you think OP?

Nice idea.

I would suggest change size riflemen squads to smaller in order to make all squad leaders important. Right now I see that the most of people fill non-bolt weapons, after that the first squad and after that the second squad thus leaving two other squad leaders without any real manpower to command.

It's kind of class system related suggestion, I think.
