New boss.

Im gonna be straight honest and say i dont know anything about the lore in KF.

One thing i do know, Patriarch is awesome, no doubt.
But im getting alittle bored of kf. Ive seen the changes so far and their great.
But one thing ive been wanting for a while is a new nemesis, a new badass boss.

For this i have a few ideas:

1. Some sort of Ghost, with the scream of a sirene and the ability to go through walls every once in a while.(yes im serious)

2. An even more mutated Patriarch, his rocket luncher is cool, but with a new more morbid look and a few new abilities sounds cool.

3. Some sort of mutated Assassin. Stalkers gave me this idea. A female mutated assassin, a bloody sword and a few killing blows sounds interresting.

Okay now, its okay to disagree here but id like to keep it nice. So please dont flame even though you disagree.
(and i already realize my english isnt perfect so dont bother telling me)

Give me your opinions, and perhaps more suggestions or thoughts about a new boss. :cool:

Actually i think the idea with that ghost sounds pretty good, and also the big assassin. Only problem would be, how would you damage a ghost etc., maybe he could get a weakness to fire? And if the new bosses gets added, how should you choose what boss you want to fight at last? Difficulty setting maybe?

I don't think a new Boss fits for Killing Floor, but mixing up the Patriarch's looks or abilities is something I wouldn't mind.

Personally, I think it'd be a cool idea to have different bosses for different aspects.

One for range, one for speed, one for power, one for armour and then one that balances it out evenly, i.e. the current patty.

A new boss would be a welcome change. The ghost idea wouldn't work though off memory, I think we discuessed it a while a go and it was something to do with the engine not being capable of it or something along those lines.

I think C_gibby is on the right track when he mentioned the different specialities of a boss. Maybe the trader culd warn you what one was coming out during boss tarder time, os you'd be going through the rest of the match under suspense. That way during the trader time you could pick what perk you think would be best.

Maybe different bosses would be resistent/weak against certain perks?

And yeah, I reckon redressing the Pattie would be cool, but I don't really know what to change...

yeah, what if Kevin decided to begin cloning himself, and then went even farther and specifically arming the clones for different specialities? After all, as Horzine has demonstrated, you can do a looot of things with one man's DNA, some creativity, and the right rescources ;)

My own personal hell
Need I say it? Look in the signature.

Wouldn't mind a new boss, but they show up so infrequently that it would hardly change gameplay. Ghost specimen suggestions have two issues:

1) Having a specimen not clip would require retooling of all specimen or a major work-around. And what if it gets stuck outside the map? And how are you going to set pathnodes for it if the way the ai checks them takes collision into account?

2) It can hardly float very high or it will collide with the ceiling and not work in indoor maps.

I like the idea's, a new boss if KF would be nice.

Like the Doom 3 mod, you never know what your gunna get, its intense, imagine getting to wave 11 and not knowing which boss will pop up, you could set your weapons to kill patty, but get pattys girlfriend the super siren, i think it would add more feel to the game doing that, keeps it fresh.

I think one think KF lacks is a fast running enemy, I'm not talking, raging FP's, gorefasts or patty, more like when a scrake has his life halved and it bolts for you, only a little bit quicker, alot like the Infected soldier mod, those tings are fast man and give you the jeebees.

Yeah, I played with those infected soldiers myself. It's the way they dodge side-to-side that gets you. All in favour of a new "trash" zed? :p
