[Error] Netcode aka. Ping = utter ****

Hey folks,

you seriously need to fix the netcode of this game. Apart from that I really like it... But with a Ping of 150 at best it's just unplayable, because the shots have such a big delay. I checked the ping using the stat net command, as I wondered why the shots have such a delay on 1 meter range (no I'm not talking about the normal bullet travel time on range... I tested it on a wall that was 1 meter away).

Here's my connection details:


Normally I get up to 20000, but even 16 should be enough... But the ping is around 20-30 at all times and in all other games I've tried.

No, getting 16 ping on most servers. I live in Texas so have plenty to choose from with ping under 100.

Only lag I've noticed is from tanks, they kinda glide around, but believe its already known.

I heard try turning off our firewall and anti virus programs and trying to play and see if that makes a huge difference.

I've posted about this earlier, considering I'm an Australian who has the fortune (well, misfortune in this case) to be a member of an American clan.

There is no anti-lag (ping compensation) for this game - which is severely disappointing and rather archaic... imo.

I'm not complaining about this... Antilag is death for eSport anyway...

My problem is, that I'm getting a 150 ping on a german server as a german citizen. It only seems to occur on filled servers though. Smaller ones are fine, but when playing on servers with 64 people on it the netcode and appearently not handle it and the ping goes ape****

Those servers might be overstressed. Try joining an empty server and see what the difference is.

i can't really review the full netcode yet, but the latency is some of the lowest i've ever seen.

earlier today i shot someone at close range with my rifle and they died so fast that my ingrained FPS mind scanned the death message and almost missed it because it appeared so soon.

it was almost like lan latency... and i've played FPS games since the 56k modem days.

well thats cool for you, but most of us are having really bad latency issues.

As for me im in the EU and this is the first game I can play on NA servers without lagging so the netcode has to be brilliant

This has happened on the Australian servers as well.

Usually i get 60-80ms if the server is in the same state as me.

I have also found the Artillery/Mortars really lag the game server side too, everything starts stuttering jittering ect.
