Need some help with porting a map

I am trying to port a ut2k4 map to kf, what i managed so far was swapping most of the textures so it runs fine in kf without the need of other packages. The current problems i am facing are:
-All the lights work fine in the editor and even in the game lobby. But when the game starts everything is just plain black/gray and no lights working at all. Really no idea whats wrong there, i checked some lights, nothing special in there or texture missing.
-I need to figure out a way to swap meshes from packages without resesting their position and size. Else it will be a pain in the *** to replace all those custom meshes. If i just duplicate them into my package and then replace the line in the mesh telling the source it resets back to default :|

any help appreciated

This is why when you port maps, you also need to work on them. Just replace the lights and fix everything like you would on a normal map.

I have never ported a map b4, But i know there is alot of work to do.

Hey

The other thing is what do you have your level properties at? May help to turn the light up a little so you can see until you get your lighting the way you want it. If you can do that. I only have some [some] experience with the KF SDK.

Well the weird thing is that in KFEd all the lights are shown right. Even the neonstuff and overall lighting looks perfect. When i start the map in KF and select my perk in the lobby, it still looks fine + film grain. As soon as the round starts everything goes out, no lights working at all :|

Color Correction only kicks in when the game starts, so maybe it has something to do with that. Check your ZoneInfos and try setting NoKFColorCorrection (or something similar) to True so it doesn't use it.

Yea that could be it. They changed the color system a couple months ago, so it might not be compatible with the ut2k4 color correction system.

Huh? Is he playing KF too? Found the map between my old ut2k4 maps and thought it would fit in KF really well. I hope he wont mind it, if its gets ported to a newer game that is not coming out each and every year more people get to play it :O

i really dont think the guy cares and if he did, he could stop by at any time and be say, "hey, dont port my map please".
