The brightness slider just doesn't cut it. I have it up high now to see in the dark areas or corners, but it's super bright in other areas. Especially in snow maps, it's blinding, so I have to adjust alot and it never seems just right. A gamma slider would fix this, are there any plans to implement one?

So turning the brightness up just to be able to see in pitch black areas is cheating? Oh please, give it a rest nubs! There's times when I actually get lost a bit because it's so dark I can't see where I'm going.

As it is now, gotta adjust color settings at desktop prior to launching RO2 every time. It's a pain.

This isn't Dead Space 2.

I agree with op on the dark areas bit. A nice example is the stairs at Apartments. Nobody is going to tell me that on a bright sunny day, with doors and windows open, the stairs is still pitch black...

It's because of the way lighting is made and adjusting the brightness/contrast to see something in there, is in my eyes not cheating at all. I find it very weird that some pieces are just way too dark, so anything to undo that, I aplaude for:cool:

Completely agree .. the interior lighting and ambience requires some more attention. Dark is too dark, adjusting it makes the exterior washout. It needs some additional work IMHO.

yep, can we get some (a little) gamma/brightness/contrast control in game, I don't want enough to be able to cheat but I am a tweaker at heart and I would like to make the game look the way I want on my screen.

The problem is that some of the maps have dark corners. Red October has this crazy black hole in the first cap zone. You go in there and you cannot be seen because there is zero lighting.
