[Error] Name Bug

In game For some reason its not picking up my steam name but rather it assigned a randomized one im guessing "Player896" not quite sure whats going on with that but i did my duty and posted a bug even after restarts it doesnt change btw stays constant im considering reinstalling after i kill about 100 more Bolsheviks

Same problem here.. if you type "setname yourname" in console, you can change it.. but you have to do it every time the map restarts. Hope they fix it soon.

well thats somewhat useful to know now i dont have to be player896 or what ever

It seems to be a problem with / characters. Changing your name without the // and restarting steam seems to fix the problem. The character \ seems to work fine.

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. I feel so...generic.
