Nagant Revolver Silencer

This is one of two upgrades I care to unlock, if only for the lulz because playing pistols only is awesome. The other being the drum mag for the PPSH. Given my usual luck, my plan is to grind for it, and by the time I unlock it they redesign the whole system and make the drum mag the standard loadout. Massive win-win situation for all players!
It's probably not terribly useful as being silent is a poor bonus to a weapon that's very lacking in stopping power. Also, perhaps the silencer makes the bullet even slower/less damaging?

The round is already subsonic. Velocity may go up, if anything. Very few suppressors actually reduce velocity - I can only think of the MP5SD, but there may be a few more. The rest usually just reduce noise and actually end up slightly increasing velocity by 10-15 fp/s.

I currently play nagant revolver only, kinda interesting actually.
And before I get flamed, I make it into the top 3 pretty much always, more kills/points than automatic guys.

The silencer, I has one.
Takes some dedication to get it. But it is very cool. I get the impression a few times people haven't noticed me firing at them so easily. But it's difficult to judge without hearing it used third person. And considering only crazy people use the revolver enough to unlock it this fast... I've yet to see or hear anyone else use it.

Well, is it any usefull? It seems pretty pointless to me, but I may be wrong.
Well as I alluded to, the quieter gunshot makes it easier to sneak around. Or at least it seems that way. Hard to tell how quiet the weapon is third person, when you're using it.

It is completely useful, people will approach you and say "omg you put a silencer on a revolver!!!" and when they want to check it out you beat them over the head with it.

Well, LordKhaine, true. I guess 'till people have many, we won't know how usefull they are
but I don't know, sneaking arround can be pretty easy without a silencer anyway. And it's low noise is always oposed to it's weak firepower, I guess.
I just can't see me ever unlocking this after getting the TT33.

I don't even know how to get any of the pistol unlocks. Do they require pistol kills? I just want to know how to get one of my two C96s in game.
Attachments require kills while weapon unlocks require class xp.
The ppsh drum unlocks at 1600 kills, I got it quick with the 24/7 apt servers. I wish someone would make a prison break like ro1, would be alot easier to lvl up pistols. The amount of kills for the handguns to lvl up is just insane!
Yeah amount of kills required to level up Pistols is like the same as the SMG's which is ridiculous. Even more so when half the servers have Pistols disabled for Rifleman. Yeah its realistic that Rifleman don't get Pistols. Even more realistic than the German army being based around the MKB instead of the MG.
I prefer the TT-33. It's the closest thing to a Soviet knockoff of the Browning pistol ingame plus it shoots dragon breath rounds.
