And I don't care if you are worried that a k/d ratio will make more people "scared to die" that's perfectly fine because IRL you would be terrified to die.
Judging by the obscene number of people that died at stalingrad, some people dont play a role in war more than being cannon fodder, and cannon fodder is still important depending on the circumstance. I can understand a few stats, but k/d ratio ultimately amounts to an online pissing contest, and people who seek to rank up a high k/d ratio will employ the cheapest, most underhanded and most unrealistic tactics.
I think the game should keep track of the amount of time you spend near your squad, the number of kill assist you provide, the amount of ammunition you give to others, how much of a suppression effect you've delivered, etc. These are accurate reflections of how much you benefit your team.
