And I don't care if you are worried that a k/d ratio will make more people "scared to die" that's perfectly fine because IRL you would be terrified to die.

Judging by the obscene number of people that died at stalingrad, some people dont play a role in war more than being cannon fodder, and cannon fodder is still important depending on the circumstance. I can understand a few stats, but k/d ratio ultimately amounts to an online pissing contest, and people who seek to rank up a high k/d ratio will employ the cheapest, most underhanded and most unrealistic tactics.

I think the game should keep track of the amount of time you spend near your squad, the number of kill assist you provide, the amount of ammunition you give to others, how much of a suppression effect you've delivered, etc. These are accurate reflections of how much you benefit your team.

There is no cheap tactic in war.

And yes tons of people have died in wars because they were ordered/forced to advance(some at gunpoint) on a fortified position. Luckily we don't have some asshole with MGs pointed at us, forcing us to advance in this game.

I don't play shooters to run and die. Attempting to help my team win by running to the point which is defended by an overwhelming force and and then dying a lot is not my idea of fun. I play shooters to kill mother****ers.

They will probably have stats for captures and suppressions as well, so people will see if you are more of a rush player or a camper/killer I guess. I enjoy how BF BC2 has the "Skill Level" but they need to average in things like revives, captures, basically anything that gets points other than kills. Hopefully RO2 will average in all the ways you can gain points on the battlefield into a skill pool. Or at least have stats for them all so people won't be so worried about their k/ds if they are accomplishing other things without getting kills.
