no responce yet, realy?! c'mon guys this is not even funny! I think the majority will agree if I say the interest to play the game is fading away at an alarming rate!!! what's the point of having this forum if you don't attend to the problem the way you're supposed to? It's not some kind of mod or smth, it's a proper game and people paid for it, haven't they? so much fuss and all for nothing. there's even noway to benifit from insainly high levels because all the upgrades are still unavailable. do smth about it plz or just write smth on the forum so that we think you're at least trying.

I'm pretty sure that they've said earlier that they were working on fixing stats. I hope they succeed, and I pretty much think they should reset stats. Maybe give you some stats for one or two classes/weapons of choice. I don't want to be max level on all weapons like I am right now. And I don't want everyone else to be either, I want to get there myself, and I want others to get there themselves.
(also, I'd like some upgrades and weapons limited to hero-classes, but that's another story)

This just happened to me yesterday, quite annoyed since its given me tons of steam achievements as well, i don't normally care for achievements with steam but there's always a sense of satisfaction when you unlock one and having nearly all of them unlocked is pretty annoying.
Hopefully they do a wipe of the stats and if possible the achievements.

I have the same problem, i'm now level 86 and my favourite class is commander (which I have never picked)
Interestingly, i also recieved the steam message "this game is currently unavailable" I had to "verify integrity of game cache" through steam which found a problem, it then proceeded to download some replacement files and now i have the problem with the stats.

I had a similar issue last night. I received maybe five achievements at once and jumped from level 46 to 84. Most classes were at level 4 or 5 and commander was set as my favorite (don't think I have even picked it yet).
Ditto here on the stats too. Apparently I am a superhero tank killer even though I flee like a little girl at the first sound of a diesel engine in game.
Happened to me today. I killed a guy who had a MkB42 and died at the same time. Somehow that granted me two kills with the MkB for the round even though I haven't used it at all. Overall on my stats progression I lvled a bunch of stuff and jumped 40 honor levels.
Seem very similar to a early killing floor bug where you suddenly got the same experience as another player on the server.

Keep hoping they've addressed the issue; keep checking in game and coming to the forums.
Have Tripwire even commented? I am tremendously disappointed. It is seriously affecting my enjoyment of the game. In fact, at this point I have stopped playing entirely.
I know fanboys will jump all over it, but this is a broken game at the moment. It should never have come out of beta like this. If I'm not playing a game I've bought I like it to be because the fault lies with me; not because there are basic issues with the game itself which desperately need to be resolved.

Level 14 playing only assault and MG gunner.
Now Level 87 apparently a commander hero with most stuff unlocked, even though it usually says i have -xxxx kills with a weapon. This actually happened when i shot someone who bled out after i died. I'm guessing i stole their stats, but just a theory.
Would love to have my old stats back, even though its likely we'll all have to start from scratch if they do reset.

At some point they'll fix whatever databases keep track of the stats, zero everyone out, and it should work well from that point on. The complete randomness is strange, but getting a random bonus at least gives you a sense of what to work toward.
