I think is important to put a few things in perspective. First, the inclusion of these items would be desirable, but at this point in time, it's going to have to be up to the efforts of modders, just as it was in RO1. If people expect tripwire to do this, it is almost going to have to be for sale downloadable content. And I know how some folks feel about that. But if you want it free, you had better start praying to the modder god. :D

By the way, keep an eye out on this thread:

Once they are done, they could be used on Custom maps quite nicely...

Looks promising, but in the Stalingrad setting, the only Waffen-SS unit, which was temporarily subordinated to the 6th army, was the 5th Panzer Division Wiking. But it never fought in Stalingrad directly.

For me, the inclusion of camouflaged uniforms etc. is a must! It's just too...boring seeing everyone in almost identical uniforms.

Seconded. Especially since camouflage uniform items weren't that rare as many photos of the Battle of Stalingrad illustrate.

Well, personally I don't have a problem with dlc as long those things are going to be implemented into RO2 some day.

The P08 was common but if you would get your facts right you see that this was also not a "ww2 weapon" but also already used in WW1. I think the devs just wanted some a nice pistol that is not a sigh you see all day. Also the C96 was in fact still used in ww2 (espescially the full auto version).

Check my post #6 in this thread.

Modders are currently doing the MG-42. No need to discuss it.
And I would love to see camo, mostly the Zeltbahn poncho and camo nets for Helmets.

Three Soviet weapons/equipment I would like to see:
-Molotovs
-Flamethrowers (Flamer ROKS(2/3), 2 would be more common)
-White-snow camouflage

Just because there is already a weapon that (my opinion) should not be in the game, it doesnt mean we should add another one. I would actually like to see a mg42 in the future, for maps that are outside of the stalingrad scenario (russian counter offensive as a example) however the mg42 does not belong in the current scenario, both realism and also gameplay wise.

In classic mode it is historically wrong and therefore sucks a lot that squad leaders are equipped with bolt action rifles instead of submachine guns.
You can either go historically- or gameplay-wise. It was decided - through experience - that players taking squad leaders are taking this class for the weapon, neglecting the importance of the role as forward scout providing artillery coordinates for commander (and it's very important to have good artillery mark).

One can debate a lot about the inclusion of the MKb-42, but the game mechanics are just wrong. According to Wikipedia the recoil of this weapon should be half of that of the Kar 98, but even the MP-40 is much more precise and therefore effective while firing.

Try again after learning some physics.

Muzzle energy for 7.92x57 is 3500 J, 7.92x33 -- 1900 J, 9x19 -- 500-600 J. All three weapons are similar in weight (3.7, 4.0, 4.6 kilos). You can't expect a 7.92 Kurz weapon to have less recoil than a 9x19 SMG.

Mkb might be more precise in sigle shots than MP40 because it is more convenient to aim with, but it can't be anywhere near to being as stable or more stable than MP40.
