tl/dr version

If you suck, GTFO.

And I wholeheartedly agree with that :D

Ok, you know that if you suck, why even play the game, right? How dare you try to have fun! For shame! Just return the game, or better yet, kill yourself. /sarcasm

Attitudes like in the OP is what scares people away and creates an elite but unbearable playerbase.

Instead of getting angry (umad bro?) you'd better try and get people to do better.

Saying someone shouldn't play a role because he is not good at it is good for a clanmatch. In a public match they have every freaking right to learn to play a class. Your attitude is not helping. Get off your high horse, help people and give them a chance.

Maybe you'll get banned less, make more friends AND improve play.

ps. You say you just got banned for nothing. Are you sure you weren't hassling other players in the server? I bet you were talking trash to snipers and sl's. If so, you diserved a kick, and you would be kicked on any server that has grown-ups.

Agree with all your post OP ive had similar experiences in regards to SL and commander roles

Also another bug bear of mine is people who take the commander slot just to kill whore and drop random artillery in daft places just to get kills rather than help the team advance.
They dont communicate when they are dropping arty and why.
They dont use their extra smoke nades to help an advance.

And the absolute most annoying thing is commanders using the force respawn only for themselves....so annoying when you see the commander die and hes the only one in the spawn queue with 4 seconds left but noooo he cant wait so he hits the force respawn wasting it for the team.

+1 so tired of baddies jumpin in SL and not popping smoke or marking mortars. You pretty cant win a game with bad squad leaders.

With Squad Leaders I find my primary purpose is to act as a mobile spawn point. I throw my smoke and then find a decent area where my squad members can spawn at, then just kinda try to stay alive. Losing the spawn in point seems pretty detrimental to the team more than extra smokes or whatever.

SL is probably one of the few classes that actually rewards you for being a coward and hiding in some hole somewhere lol. i find it a nice change of pace. that and i get to scream at people which makes me feel important!

A simple vote system to replace commanders and SL would suffice.

Would be nice and simple.

OP - Use constructive criticism and maybe people will take notice.

I saw the words 'idiots' and 'retardation' and just assumed you are a pr***

I agree completely, I do this same thing. Although I have found that in many games the squad leader slots are taken up by guys who run in like rambo and die constantly, literally killing our front line spawn points.

And like the OP said about Commanders.... Jeez, I don't know how many times I've gone into a game marked artillery only to not see anything drop, ever... An example, today I was in a server where the squad leader wouldn't force respawn when we'd have a ton of dead waiting to come in along with never calling in the artillery that was being targeted. I ask him nicely several times to call it in. Finally the guy starts *****ing at me for saying anything and starts team-killing me... Ridiculous...

It's a great game I just can't wait till thee douche bags stop playing and go on over to MW3 or BF3. Seriously, I sometimes feel like just putting the game up until those two games drop just so I can get in some nice game time with decent Team Oriented gameplay. I can deal with noobs, it's the lack of common sense that is bad.

Commanders, if one of your squads has just charged a point and captured it, please don't drop an artillery strike on it 5/10 seconds later!.

A few days back i was having a great time playing me some sparkanovka and well lets just say a few were just sitting back not trying to cap, so i rally up my squad to go for a charge on one, i pop my smoke to cover the run and we go for it and pretty much wipe out any enemy in the area and cap it HUZZAH!! i say HUZ "Artillery incoming 3m" WHAT!, entire sqaud wiped out and the last remainig enemy who was the only person not to die from it recaps the point.

I was livid.

Which is probably why you got banned. And deservedly so.

Did you read the OP? I was doing nothing wronf except owning those kids and was banned... Another poster in here said they had the same experience so its clearly not just me. It seems ike the campers just get thicker and thicker every day at the moment. I'm sure once BF3 and MWgarbage drop we will start having some better games.

What an awful attitude. The game has been out, what, two weeks? Already the l33ts are coming to tell us how good they are and how bad everyone else is.

Give people a chance to learn the game and, I know this sounds crazy, help them learn the ropes. It will make replayability much better in the future.

...1. Squad leaders- If you suck, dont know how to use smoke grenades or mark artillery locations then please stay out of the SL class. You are useless and we need Sl abilities to be used properly to win. Pick a bolt action rifle and just camp like you know you are good at....
but but but but... I pick SL to level up my svt-40!

Although I think that new players are better off with the basic classes ( assault, rifleman ) and pick up from there , but I can't blame them if they pick Squad Leader, Commander or Sniper when they are free in a public server.

There is always a better man fitting for a certain role, but that doesnt mean he is the only guy that should have the option to play that role.

I agree with the OP, mostly. Although he seems insensitive to the newer, inexperienced players, they have had plenty of time to spend 5-10 bucks on a copy of RO1 to get an idea of how the game was going to work. They have had plenty of time before the game came out to read up the teamwork and role/class tutorials in these forums. Basically, they have had time enough to learn the basics of the game before even the beta came. Within 2 weeks, they should have had enough time to figure out how to play as a team or at least how to play Territory maps properly.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but seriously I spent 2 hours on a 24/7 Apartments server, watching the same players over and over just out hunting kills outside the capture zones. Sure, I recorded some good FRAPs footage, but I felt bad for the few guys who were trying to explain how to win the map to 20-25 other guys who only wanted the kills. WHAT GOOD ARE KILLS WHEN THE STATS AREN'T WORKING CORRECTLY!

My view has always been simple- I play to have a good time, and what better time can one have than when winning fairly? I've left many teams that were winning as defense to join a disorganized team that was losing players, usually as a futile effort to assist them. You can't help people win that do not care if they win, right?
