My ideas for specimens

Clot - Don't need to change this.

Gorefast - Make it charge from further away because sharpshooters can take them out no problem.

Bloat - Don't need to change this.

Siren - Don't need to change this.

Stalker - Make Commandos actually see them not just make them flash red.

Crawler - Give this the ability to crawl up walls for realism.

Skrake - Make this charge a short distance like a Gorefast, but not right up to players.

Fleshpound - Give players the ability to disable the anger by shooting the light on its stomach.

New specimens - Flying ones, Digging ones, Rock throwing ones (or other implements), minor shooting ones ( like the havea pistol welded to their hand).

The crawler suggestion was interesting. Although it would probably be hard to implrement, I would like to see crawlers crawl on walls and ceilings. The fleshpound idea also has potential. Make it so it doesn't do much damage to the fleshpound compared to hitting it somewhere else, but it would buy you a little bit of time. You are trading off damage for time.

What I didn't like what the minor shooting ones. The idea of a zombie survival game (or specimens, whatever) that makes it fun is having a lot of weaker enemies that have to get close to you to damage you. I've seen this kind of stuff done in other zombie survival games and it just wasn't fun. IIts much more fun to have a specimen charge at you with something like a chainsaw, running at you as you desperately unload shots into him before he reaches you then to have one out in the distance shooting you. Not sure about the flying or digging ideas. It would definately be hard to implement something like that through a patch, but its worth discussion I guess.

Gorefast - They don't need that usually they spawn in 4 or 5's and that makes them deadly enough
Stalker - They are still cloaked and the fact they are red makes them more obvious to the commando in the confusion so he can do his job and target them easier.
Crawler - they don't really need to be more annoying than they already are
Skrake - Hmm I actually prefered them the way they were now they are much more of a problem than even the FP
Flesh Pounds - Nah the idea is to not anger them until you are in a position to deal with them effectively

As for your new specimen ideas some of them would be extemely irritating unless they were in maps where only they appeared. As for shooting ones I personally would hate that but flying ones would be kinda cool maybe a flying boss that comes in and the team is in the helicopter or something would be brilliant.

That is one of the best ideas i've ever seen in this forum, but it would be hard to implement.

Too bad things have changed a bit. now.

I would love to be able to disable the frustration rage somehow. Actually, I would like if they calmed down from boredom rage after hurting their fellow specimens, but ignore them in the "butthurt" mode.

I kind of like the idea of disabling the fleshpound rage by shooting out it's chest meter. Maybe make an animation so that when the meter shatters, the adrenal fluid drains from its chest (just do a bloat bile animation).

I think that'd be good now that they randomly rage anyway, and it would give sharpshooters something to aim for besides lolheadshot all day.

This is something I had in mind too. But maybe not make the rage wear off straight away, but make it wear 50% faster so he'll calm down.

Maybe make the lights in the back and the glowing chest thing slowly start going up when it is slowly getting more and more annoyed. The yellow lights in the back would be a good indicator on how irritated it is. Make the level of red drop start draining when it wears out or gets shot in the chest thingamadoodah. The chest tube should be self-sealing so hitting it would punctire briefly instead draining all of it at once.

If any of you played RE5, something like the fat guy with the huge axe. Make him deal more damage than the FP, have more HP, but make him suuuuppppperrrrrr slow.

Thats something I would like to see. My first reaction to seeing him in RE5 was "WTF!!!??? I don't have a big enough gun!!!!"

hrmm yeah a few more bigguys in the game, then they need to add the .700 nitro to the game, limit each player to carying 5 bullets, but make it so the bullets can be given to players with the rifle like passing ammo to machinegunners in RO. the 700 nitro would then replace the LAW.

sounds too much like the scrake before the patch haha.

The scrake was easier to kill before the patch. He still fairly easy one on one, as long as you a have a chain saw to stun him. What I was thinking about was maybe take the bloat sprite, make him a little fatter, give him a hood or something to make him look like an executioner, then finish of by giving hum a HUGE axe.

Then there could be another achievement like "Killing the Executioner with the fire axe".

The .700 Nitro Express rifle can take out an elephant with one shot.
