Greetings, everyone.

I recently learn of the plans for RO:HOS and I though I could give share some of my thoughts and ideas for the game with the development team and the gamer community.

After reading an article about RO:HOS, I started to make a list of features that I believe would make the game better and more fun. I played RO for many hours and compiled the following list:

-Pick Grenades Up: It would be nice to have this ability. Though it may not be helpful in most situations and will probably not save your life if the grenade was cooked, it will give the player the satisfaction of trying to save himself.

-Bullets penetrate walls: It would be nice to kill an enemy that you know is behind a wall or door. Sometimes this could be helpful because it will allow you to shoot in places were an ambush is expected(for example, if you know a guy might be in the next room, you can shoot all across the wall and kill him).

-Less Grenades: It's very frustrating to be killed by a grenade. So, classes that don't need grenades(like snipers and MGs) should not have grenades at all. For the other classes, I think one grenade is enough. Remember that they will respawn and have grenades again. (in dazing, the Russians always throw all their grenade at the begging of the round and it practically like a small artillery attack and very frustrating for the German players).

-Snap Melee System:
This is like the melee system in COD5 where the your melee attack snaps to enemy. it's very rewarding for the player. Currently in RO, however, it's very hard to achieve a melee kill if the enemy is moving. For players with lag, it's impossible.

-Blood Trails:
If you shoot someone in a distance, in a forest for instance, and he is injured and escapes, it would be nice to be able to follow a blood trail to him.

-No auto weapon select:
Have you notice that when you shoot someone's weapon out his hand he automatically grabs his next available weapon? I think this is unfair and unrealistic. I think it would be more realistic and fair if the player himself has to select the weapon that he wishes to use after he drops his gun.

-Respiration:
It's very hard to aim while standing. A respiration system would help with this issue.

-Request Punishment:
I think that instead of a player by default having to forgive a teammate for teamkilling, the player should chose to punish the teammate if he thinks he was killed intentionally.

-No respawn zone after reinforcement:
After the reinforcement run out for a team, their spawn protection zone should be disable. It's very frustrating for players to have to wait for the last guy alive to die because he is hiding in the spawn. (In dazing for example, when Russian's reinforcement run out, the Russians left hide in their spawn until the time runs out, and Germans can't go to the spawn and kill them. So it's basically a waste of time for both sides.)

-Leg shot triggers prone position: if you get shot in the leg, I don't think you would continue to stand. Especially if you're sprinting. So, if you get shot in the legs, you're character should automatically go to prone position.

-Farther View, Less fog: It would be nice to have a more higher field of view. Fog is annoying.

-Players work as a team:
It would be nice if there some type of system to force players into working as a unite team. I'm tried of seen players doing whatever they want. It's just not realistic having some people wandering around the battlefield and not following any instructions.

-No mine zones:
I'm tired of running into mines whenever I try to go somewhere. I think that a better way to prevent the players from leaving the battle zones is to actually put physical obstacles that prevent the players from doing it. Also, if a player manages to sneak behind enemy lines, he should not be killed by a mine. Players that manage to sneak should be left alone to do whatever they have to until they are found by the enemy.

-Infantry and tanks: I think infantry should be allow to ride the tanks. Maybe not inside, but outside like you see in pictures of the war.

-Make tanks realistic:
If a infantry man manages to get close enough to a tank, he should be able to stick his gun through the window of the tank and kill someone in there. I've notice that this is currently impossible in RO.

-No One-Crew tank:
there should be a way to prevent one man from taking a tank for himself. Is very annoying that when playing in tank maps, tank run out because they are been taken by just one player.

-No instant position switch in vehicles: It's just not realistic to change from one position of a vehicle to another in an instant. It's very frustrating when someone in a halftrack come near you, gets outs, kills you, and leaves in a second. It's neither fair nor realistic.

-Support for 64 bit OS:
Make the game support 64 bit so that players that have Vista 64 bit can enjoy some extra performance out of the game.

-Destructible object:
it would be nice to have objects that break. For example, doors that break if a grenade is thrown to it. Or walls that break if a tank shots at it.

-Movable object: It would be nice to be able to move object around. For example, if you want to block a door, you can move a chair behind it.

-DirectX 10 support:
I don't think I have to explain this one. but, it will be nice for the game to support DX10. It just looks so cool!

-More particles:
Would be nice to see some smoke when shooting the walls and some bricks flying around when a grenade explodes.

-Flashing when shoted:
I don't know how to explain this, but it like when the enemy shots and the bullets go near you, you close your eyes or something. This feature would be nice to make covering fire work.

-No instant sights align:
remember that when you are in combat, you're body doesn't respond the same way as when you're not. So, if you are scared that you might die, your had will probably not be a steady as when in normal situations. Taking more times in aligning the sighs of the weapon would be more realistic.

-Occasional Jamming:
This would add some realism to the game. Also, the change of a gun jamming should increase if you pick the gun from the floor. This is a way to make soldiers to stick their guns.

-Adjust sights to distance:
I know that some gun have adjustable sights. It would be nice to be able to use them.

-Climbing abilities:
This is like climbing walls or small obstacles that you can't jump through.

-No healing:
RO is perfect in this aspect. Don't change it. No healing at all!

-Real Communication System:
This would be like in real life. Only people near you can hear you. Even the enemy if they are near by. Team speaking only is somewhat unrealistic.

-Many animations:
By this I mean that there should be more than one animation for an action. There should be an array of animation for one action--for example, reloading: there should be like 10 different reloading animations so that every time you reload it doesn't look the same.

-Many Textures:
There should be more than one texture for guns and vehicles so that all look different. Maybe 5 different gun textures for the same weapon.

-Support of Resolution: There game should support many resolutions. RO currently support my resolution, which is 1680x1050, but many other game do not. So, don't stop supporting it.

-Sell the Game in a Box:
If you sell the game through Steam only, I will not buy it! When I pay money, I want something that I see and touch. I have never bought a game through steam. I always buy it at some store. I believe I'm not the only one that thinks this way. So, keep that in mind.

-No background sounds:
I hate those shooting sounds in the background. I can't tell when there's a shooting nearby or if it is the background sound.

-Ground Vibration:
Develop some way to make the ground vibrate when there's artillery or when there are many tanks running by.

-Slow weapon Change:
I don't thing it would take me one second to put my rifle away get a grenade or a pistol. Make the weapon switch time longer.

Well, that's all I can think for right now. If I think of some other things, I will update this post.

Fell free to opine or criticize my views. I enjoy reading what people think of my ideas.
