My list of things I agree/disagree with
-Zoom reduced to Darkest Hour levels - Can be set by server
But it doesn't happen
-No recon planes - Either Realism/Relaxed setting or nerf the recon, but don't remove
Remove it
-Attach/detach bayonets - Russians never removed bayonet, and Germans would but it's not very urgent for all the animating.
Aight.
-Lower stamina/speed - Seems fine as it is currently to me
It seems similar to the amount a person in real life could sprint... but it encourages ridiculous rambo tactics
-No respawn on SL - What does an SL do? All you need is to see him and he won't spawn teammates anyway
A SL should be marking artillery and throwing smoke nades... Not curled behind a sand bag in the middle of Fallen Heroes so people who haven't thrown their nades in the cap can respawn
-Class restrictions until 75% of the players are using exclusively bolt actions - I wouldn't do it like that, but instead you have to fill maybe 80% of the squads before opening a new one. Don't know how I would do AT and engineers though.
I don't really know what you mean but I'm assuming you agree with me that classes need to be further restricted
-Way less ammo for everyone so you have to conserve - I would prefer it stay at a realistic amount (assuming this is what it's at now)
What if you had taken a few shots at a battle a month ago? I'm sure not every soldier was fully loaded with over 100 bullets by the time they were engaged on the front. And even if they were I'm sure they didn't shoot 20 bullets at the same guy being hell bent on killing him.... They were more concerned with suppressing fire and making sure they weren't getting shot at themselves.
-No heroes - Are there any?
yes.
-No AI in the tank, except the guy who loads the shells - I don't want to depend on teammates and faulty communication, just make the hull MG completely retarded, utterly useless without a player
The tank should be a machine, not a steel incarnation of man
-Increase weapon sway - Yeah ok
Yes!
-No lockdown - I still don't see the problem with lockdown, if it takes you 5 minutes to take the first objective just end it, attackers win often enough anyway on most maps
Disagree. Lockdown changes the pace of gameplay even if it doesnt take effect immediately
-No bandaging - The alternative is every bullet is death, or you shrug off hits you would be bandaging. I say I'd rather have longer bandaging but more time to bandage before you die
Bandaging just adds a button click which is annoying. Ro1 had bandaging but it just slowed you down when you got shot - It didn't make you click an unnecessary button.
-No tactical view - Relaxed/Full realism
Still incorporates some of it
-No magic info feed - Just make it more subtle, but I want to know what's going on at some level
Please make it WAY more subtle
-No shooting while dying - I don't find it a problem
I'm pretty sure if someone shot me in the chest with a rifle I wouldn't give a damn about the war and would just fall over
-Native languages - I thought you could
Nope
-A more robust voice command system. Including Achtung Shambeh Bambeh
I played DH today and about 7 or 8 players cooperated with ONLY voice commands (I'm American but I worked with 2 Poles, 1 French, 2 Russian, and 1 German)
-No stats - Who's going to check random people's stats anyway? Sounds like someone is insecure about their K/D ratio
I killed 11 people in one life on Ro1 today with nothing more than a kar98k and 2 grenades. It was because of strategic positioning - Not uber fast ADS reaction skillz... People should have good stats based upon strategy and skill... Not time investment and n00b RPG bullsh%t
-No RPG level ups - Skill should prevail in every PvP FPS - Maybe if the unlocks were done differently
Maybe they should be done differently - IE: not there
-Spawn on far opposing sides of the objectives to allow for flanking and to encourage alternative tactics - Far enough for me
It took me 45 seconds to engage the enemy in Ro1... I get spawn camped in Ro2.... That's far enough?
-Reduce capabilities of MG as a cqc weapon - OK, but it has to be easier to manipulate at the same time, easier to brace and stuff
Yes
-No respawn on SL • I don't care either way, but no.... that would make the squad leader just as useless as he was in RO1
uhhh.... in Ost SL is my favorite class and on 80% of the maps he is THE most important class... he's the main force spear heading the attack with smoke nades and 150% cap zone rate AND calling in artillery AND marking the map AND giving commands.......... in Ro2 he is another dime a dozen assault class
-Way less ammo for everyone so you have to conserve • I don't Personally Approve - With ammo caches located around the map, doing this will accomplish nothing. Anti-Tank classes will just have to run back to restock even more than they already do.
I don't ever recall going back to an ammo cache in Ost unless I was Sniper, Anti-Tank, or MG. Riflemen spawned with 9 clips and that is too much
