Mutator - No ironsights Rifles Only

Hipshooting with a bolt action is one of the most awesome part of ro, you can't beat the feeling when you hip some realismfag proning in a corner, waiting for pityfrags.
And now to close out the thread in 'epic fashion'
Make a mutator that allows us to have sex with Rachel Weiss while we are inches away from hundreds of fellow soldiers:IS2:

everyone has their own opinions of what is fun.....my opinion of fun is hipshooting you from accross the map while you hide behind a rock aiming with your precious ironsights
all this guy is asking is whether or not a mutator like this could be made.
@ OP: it's possible to make a mutator like this. one was already created in ROOST. custom, small bolts_only maps were also created so that people can have fun practicing their hipshooting skills.
As much as I hated what you just said, it's pretty much the truth. I rage quit like a mofo when I get mowed down by a hip shooter.

Because that's just a minor modification of Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad.

Again, we all understand what a mutator is, and we are not telling you not to make it, but this is a forum where we express our opinions, if someone doesn't like the idea of that mutator, or he just won't play it, he is free to say it.

Well this mutator could be interessting on a CQB map AND non-static gun barrel axis (like the infiltration mod [remake! please!]). Correct me as I might be wrong but isn't the horizontal axis fixed (to your body and view) in ROO?
to be honest i really dig the Hip-only-mutator idea.
it was common for me and my clanmates to warm up for Clanwars with some hiping. but some used IS or nades. :/
i even tried to make a Hip-only-mut for RO but failed .
i only managed to make a map (RO-Insom) where i replaced the ROironsights funktion of the weaponclasses to broadcast a "player x tried to use Iron sights"-message every time someone pressed his ironsights button.
and every one that has played clanwars should know maps like RO-fullmj, RO-GreyGhostofWar.
those are just ment to be played hip only for warm-up propose.

There is currently an active mutator on the 24/7 hips USA server (I can provide IP on request) which is present during FullMJ rounds that disables the use of ironsights and bayonets.
Both factions have only access to bolt action rifles and both factions can use both BA rifles (Kar98 and Mosin).
So in other words this mutator does exist.

I can put you in touch with the author of the mutator you're describing and a server where you can play a match with the mutator active.

Hipshooting is a standard skillset for ladder players and the route for pwnage in pub servers. It's also a damn good time. I've developed plenty of skill with it and I can use it to lay out assault troopers that don't know what they're doing, else displace somebody at a good distance.
It's highly accurate, assuming you can figure out how to trace an imaginary line out from the barrel of your gun....pretty easy, considering the barrel length on a Mosin Nagant. Point and shoot, more or less.
I love this forum myth that it's impossible to hit anything if you're not staring down the sights with the gun crooked in your shoulder.
