Reverts the game back to what it was in 2009 (game play wise and aesthetically) while incorporating some changes from the 2010 Xmas, Level Up, and Heavy Metal updates.

Initial Changes

These are changes for v2.0.1 and lists how the mutator differs from the current build, 1058.

Perks

  • Capped perk level at 5
  • Removed demolitions perk
  • Reverted berserker's universal resistance back to 20% @ level 5
  • Reverted berserker's melee speed bonus back to 15% @ level 5
  • Removed berserker's discount for machete and axe
  • Removed sharpshooter's crossbow reload bonus
  • Fixed medic's run speed bonus across all difficulties to 20% @ level 5
  • Replaced leveling system with fixed level setting
    • Can set perk levels between 0 and 5
Weapons

  • Removed all new weapons added after Heavy Metal update
    • Configurable options to enable ak and katana
    • Gold variants removed as well
  • Lowered melee weapon prices to old prices

Characters

  • Removed all steam punk characters, promotional characters, DAR, chickens, Santa, and dosh man from the selection screen
Why is this? You didnt like how silly those non-fitting-to-the-original-story characters were? :p

I actually like to play as the RO soldiers, they are SOLDIERS :(
...even though they are technically cosplayers/actors.

i agree! in next version maybe add option to enable/disable "new" characters

I'll just blame Gartley and say he made me do it ;). Originally I was just thinking of only a gameplay rollback but Garltey's old school KF post in the ideas section got me into doing an aesthetic rollback as well.

Changes


  • Fixed two trader menu bugs
    • You could not scroll the weapon list until a buyable weapon was selected
    • Selecting an unbuyable weapon would repeatedly spam the respective trader audio
  • Removed katana and ak, if disabled, from preset spawns i.e. the katana spawn on Icebreak
