[mutator] kf rpg

I think im missing some packages, the error shows up as "Can't find AlienMonsterPack_rc"

My mistake. They belong to a different package :D One referencing to the pic I posted hehe. Ive removed them from the zip.

Those files you will need to wait for hehe.(and no you cant use the AlienMonsterPack_rc made for UT2004 since this will be the killing floor version):)

@ Gooblaster = what error are you getting?

I wiped it clean and now trying to do a fresh reinstall. :eek:

If i get errors again i'll post them here. :D

I tried using custom character mutators, they work fine. :D

So far no crashes anymore.

Maybe a sort of break time sort of thing should be added, cause the monsters just keep coming at you. :eek:

[EDIT] I changed the maxplayers to 10, but it still shows up as 25 players. Im supposed to change it in the mutator config right?

just tried it with my friends, the first thing that got mentioned almost right of the start is ... the blue font in shop kills (your eyes) ... need sunglasses :cool:

I will try to change the color and the shop's font. other than that so far, no crash ..

My connection still pretty bad. Will taste Hemi baby when have better network.

Crashes of the UCC = Reduce max specimens from 35 to say 28 in the ini.

Good to see it works with some other muts, we didnt test every single one offcourse hehe.

Considering a time limit : Our record of the WPC servers is players playing the mod for 9 hours straight. :D Just an indication of what this mod will produce, trafficwise . :p

Avarage is 2 hours per player.

I think what he meant was the timelimit for the map itself, not the mod. :D

Playing the same map for like a few hours in a row would be pretty boring to me.

Yeah, but i must say...no one has complained about that to date hehe. They are all too busy gathering XP and upgrading their character. We now sometimes have monsters running arround level 456 or something like that lol.

Ah well, people have fun. Thats the important thing. All this balance/improvement crap is irrelevant when you see people having a blast on the servers. In my time of modding ive come to notice that improving/balancing stuff takes away the initial fun-factor the mod had in the first place. And im no game designer, nor do I have the time for it. I just make mods with other people like IDNoise to make people have a good time. What the community does after that is up to them.

Take the Brute. I laughed so hard when I saw the hiyoko version with the massive arms. Hahaha...it still cracks me up! :D

Having an option "vote suicide" would be nice. Everyone suicides, keeps xp, map changes. Some poeple won't map vote or anything, and you're stuck on a map when you joined late and get 20 kills in 30 mins... That was my only real complaint about this thing.
Also, i'd love to see a template of the code for adding another gun or two - if you could do something that allows people to quickly adjust code to add IJC guns or something, that'd be amazing and really help prolong the use of the mod.

Problem is, it takes allot of time to add a gun. Thats why we stopped adding them after a while. Otherwise we would have added them all. But the simple fact is, not all of them work so great with the mod. Take the medic rifle from IJC, for some reason it will destroy your server, just like the M41A.

I give those who want to adjust the mod a fair warning. Test the stuff online on a closed server to prevent troubles. We have had instances were the mod went banana's and almost killed the server with cpu usage. Its your funeral, but dont blame us when you blow up your server.

Tested your baby but encounter a bug. Is it just me?

Experience remain 0 on top of screen while damage to zeds award xp.

On esc screen xp remain 0 too.

Tested on listen and dedicated server.

Running only rpg mutator with sandbox and without sandbox.

Sigh.

I have a question, UCC errors by increasing the limit of players or Zeds, is the capacity of the machine or is it the limit that can withstand the server?

Do you have a database enabled? If not I think you can use the ServerPerksStat.ini file from the ServerPerksV4 package. Might resolve the problem.

Machine, i had 200+ active zombies on mine, but i played from same machine too, with such amount of active specimen u need to have good inet speed and players too - much data to synchronize.

Well i have that file but it still not working.

Seems like config bug. Try to backup your KF.ini and IDRPGMod.ini, replace them with default and also remove ServerPerkStats.ini, because it seems u have no synch of some variables between server and client.
Before doing this, check ServerPerkStats for records like
or Skill[*]=* or Experience=*, if there is no such records, then stats were not saved.
