As much as I love power metal and Iron Maiden, I don't think they are heavy enough to suit this game. I think thrash, death, and melodeath would suit the game best.

I'm not a fan of metalcore (quite the opposite actually), but it does seem to suit the game with those horrid vocals turned off.

Eww don't say metalcore, some skinny pale kid with horrible musical taste might hear you and make us listen to Avenged Sevenfold.

-Pertubator

-Kill Switch Engaged

-White Zombie

-God Speed You Black Emperor

-Clutch

-Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

These are not in any order; these artists are not overall entirely fitting but a few good tracks pass. I prefer atmospheric music and "Apocalyptica" usually- although the heavier music generally fits the action better.

I know what you mean but we got off easy; they could have put Bullet for my Valentine in the game instead of Demon Hunter man. At least the current soundtrack can disguise itself as "kind of" heavy.

Hmm I had no idea there was so many different terms for music, what would you classify Primus and Korn?

Those two was what I listened to in school before this wonderful tech made it possible to listen to other stuff with ease.

I'll just throw out some of my favorite bands in no particular order since I almost exclusively listen to angry stuff, along with what I recommend from them.

Bile (personal favorite band) - I love most of every album (it's not easy to be flawless), except Hate Radio, that's more like half. They might be an acquired taste since I felt meh about them at first.
Scum of the Earth - Every single song minus Death Stomp
Rob/White Zombie - Astrocreep 2000 (WZ), Hellbilly Deluxe (RZ), The Sinister Urge (RZ)
Godflesh - Most of it is meh to me but I quite enjoy Ringer, Dogbite, and Mothra.
Numb - Christmeister + Bliss (Combo; only album I own)
Powerman 5000 (Rob Zombie's brother) - Tonight the Stars Revolt!, Anyone For Doomsday?
Fear Factory - Most of it is pretty good, but Demanufacture stands out to me.
KMFDM - Angst, Hau Ruck, Nihil, Symbols, WWIII, XTORT
Ministry - Pretty much everything
Slipknot - [Self Entitled Album], Iowa
Nine Inch Nails - Broken, Fixed [Mix Album], The Downward Spiral, Further Down the Spiral [Mix Album], Closer/Closer to God [Single/Mix Album] (All the mix albums have a nice, f-~-ed up sound.)

That's my library that I deem KF worthy, though I suppose you could throw in Marilyn Manson and KoRn. Of course, toting a Doctor Rockso avatar I'm inclined to recommend Dethklok too. Just as a fun extra, Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time by Candy Claws could be fun, as I think it's a polar opposite. It's got a kinda trippy, blissful feel to it.

Completely off the wall, but if you at all are into more classical music look up "Two Steps from Hell" or Thomas Bergersen.

Movie trailer music, or more colloquially "epic music". I listen to that stuff all the time, makes quite an experience.
Fixing the motorcycle in the garage turns into an A-team like matter of fixing the bike to go save someone, and going to work on the interstate turns into running from the bad guys!

Not all of it is usable in KF, but some of it is and would make for an interesting gaming experience.

I'll happily pass along my recommendations. I'm a huge metalhead, so I've got a wide array of stuff to choose from that I feel fits the game, and fits the kind of sound the original soundtrack offers, whether it's actual death metal or deathcore. I have a pretty big custom playlist of songs that I use, but I'll keep it (relatively) small for now. Let me know what you think of the following, and I'll expand my list a little if anyone likes it:

Moth- Vision
The Faceless- Accelerated Evolution
Cattle Decapitation- Manufactured Extinct
Cattle Decapitation- Plaugeborn
Aurora Black- The Last Hours of Life
Cephalic Carnage- Ohrwurm
Scar Symmetry- Morphogenesis
Aeon- I Hate Your Existence
Cannibal Corpse- Kill or Become
Human Error- City of Ghosts
Rings of Saturn- Dingir
Soreption- Breaking the Great Narcissist
Against the Plagues- TerrorForm

And here's a little bonus. This isn't metal, it's actually Russian rap, but damn if it isn't energizing. And this is coming from someone who simply does not like rap. Check this out:

Stevie Insane- Monsters

Some of the new musics in KF2 sound like very similar to each other and thus making the feeling very boring :(. I suggest to replace some musics in KF2 with KF1 music.

+1 to nailbomb

Indeed and it amuses me that the gunslinger will use a nail bomb for its grenade.

Coincidence? I THINK NOT! :D

... Yeah probably coincidence but still doesn't stop me from listening to Nailbomb when playing the 'slinger.

I'm practically happy with the addition of Deathcore and Metalcore, the only thing I could suggest adding is maybe some more or maybe going full thall and by adding some Dj0nt (Djent) or some slam metal.

To be honest, if I could recommend stuff to add I'd suggest some deathcore like Whitechapel/Oceano, or some Slam like Katalepsy/Ingested/Abominable Putridity.
