Please just smooth the maps. I die at least 20% of the time to getting stuck on something no bigger then my toe. Having this happen is the farthest away from realism you can get.
Please open maps more as well, especially with the new penetration system. We need more places to hide and make shots from. Currently ro is too predictable where people throw nades at likely spots and get free kills. You just know for sure where people are going to be way too often as it currently is, and having apartment buildings with only one room per floor in many cases is kind of constricting. This will prove to be especially true with the new bullet penetration system, if all a mg has to do is spray at a likely spot and watch the kills roll in and never actually see their prey at least give more spots to hide in. (still cant wait for the penetration system tho heeh just dont go over the top)
Get rid of foot shot effects completely. Currently getting shot in the foot is second only to head shots. Stopping someone completely in their tracks is a death sentence, and i could guarantee that wounded individual could still make it to at least cover. Standing in place is just ill conceived.
Hit location system, this kinda goes without saying, but how obvious this system is broken when you are sticking just your head out of a bunker and get shot in the foot.
Just get rid of tanks. The hit location system is even worse then infantry, bouncing shells are from some cartoon land, and people have learned how to shoot others before there even in drawing distance. I have to say i find this one of the worst things about ro, and i have to say imo i think tanks in ro are the worst incarnation of armor ive ever seen EVER. I know lots of people like them, but everything ive found about them i think needs a total redo, so just get rid of them completely and put your efforts toward what make this game great: infantry combat.
My last plead is a strange grey area. I get shot at before i even approach objects, and much of the time shot around corners. I dont believe this is hackers, im CONVINCED theres something fubared with original red orchestra game mechanics or coding. When i throw a grenade ive watched people standing on it not take any damage whatsoever, and other times (like every day) i see nades kill people through 2 walls on another floor that landed on the other side of the building. Something is downright broken here and im not talking lag issues because it goes into modes where you'll see nothing but bs for a whole game at a time, then come back the next game and make shots im sure i should be missing.
I cant fully define what the problem here is, but there are way to many unexplained deaths or shots coming from impossible places for this not to have some truth to it, and i really dont think it can be all hackers.
And on that note, can you just remove grass/shrubs/bushes? You know people are doing this themselves anyways, so please dont punish the rest of us.
