Multiple reports of EGS clients not getting updated workshop files from redirect

Reports are - The EGS client is not downloading updated Workshop files from the redirects people are setting up.

The redirect has the new / updated file but the old version already exists on the EGS client cache and those users are seeing a "content out of sync" message, until they close game and manually delete the file.

can confirm, and this has big implications.

Anytime a custom map is updated, a EGS user must manually delete the old map file from their game files. But, EGS files get .uxx files instead of .roe files in their caches, and these files are given arbitrary names. Thus, EVERY TIME A CUSTOM MAP IS UPDATED AN EGS USER MUST DELETE ALL THEIR CUSTOM MAPS

Thanks, In the future please write up the bug in a public format. That is a link to a conversation from a private Discord channel that all do not have access to read.

To clarify, this is different than the results for a Steam player using the same system gets? It's only a problem with EGS redirects, not Steam?
