Question, it seems that Combat Power has a larger than normal effect on reinforcements, or am I imagining that? Reinforcements seem to run out rapidly in Campaign mode.

I have noticed that more rounds than usual end with reinforcements running out. I haven't felt that it was too fast, but it does happen. It'd be nice if the TL could order a "Tactical Retreat" when reinforcements fall below 5% or something and end it. Too many rounds end with wasted time as the winning side searches for a few remaining AFK's

Can someone explain more clearly the effect Combat Power has on a round if you have managed to figure it out?

I'd like to know this as well. Is it just a percentage of reinforcements or morale too or ...?

I'd really like to see this mode finished off and actually expanded. The more I play it, the more I see potential for interactive and interesting features that would enable more varied gameplay.

Imagine if mapmakers built their maps with this mode in mind. They'd be more balanced for one thing. The commanders could choose where their initial spawns would be instead of always spawning in the same place. Enable more flanking areas.

More ready up time to strategize.

Dump the role select screen and only have the squad select screen. We're already seeing more cohesive team play, It's something people want once they experience it. Fix the things that make it harder to play as a team.

Yeah, always seeing comments in the text chat about how it feels like there is purpose, like we have a chance to win, or... lose.

One thing I have noticed, if you thought the TL was important before, he seems to have a greater impact when the whole campaign is at stake!

I battled my way through the campaign yesterday for about 4 hours with the territory's swinging back and forth.

3 times we nearly had total victory with the Russians just squeezing victory to stop us, when we finally did become victorious, everybody went mad in the chat and over voip.
One of the most rewarding gaming experiences I've ever had in my life, if not the most.
Absolutley brilliant.

Going to try and get a Russian victoy medal next !

The only problem ive seen is that the custom maps have not been added to most camapigns.
It took ages for us to get the mappers excellent maps on servers and since campaign mode has taken over the servers they have been left on the side.

I understand over the free weekend having maps that you may have to download would put new players off, but maybe now it is time to put some back into circulation.

It would also be nice to only play each map in a sector twice, once attacking and once defending, as playing the same 2-3 maps back to back for 3 hours can only be bad for the game.

Also adding a splash screen at the end stating who won the campaign and what maps were won and what reinforcements were used would be nicer then 'A new campaign will start shortly'.

I don't think a huge amount of work is needed for it to be officially sanctioned just a few decisions on where its going.

I'll echo this. Shooter part of this game isn't too special and what keeps it on my PC is climate and teamplay (when it happens).

There are quite a few servers running custom maps.

Playing each map twice as you wish would defeat the principal of a campaign to win the war.
It may be wise strategically, even after victory to select a defensive turn to ensure that resources for an attack are not wasted.

Splash screens are there at the end of a campaign and the achievement medal is also working.

The releasing officially of the campaign mode is delayed because getting team switched to balance sides, something that nobody wants, it has happened to myself twice after more than a couple of hours of fighting the war...

And the same 2 or 3 maps would probably be played for days on end...

[50pc.] Campaign Custom Server 74.91.120.207:7777 plays custom maps (those that work).

We too, are incorporating as many custom maps as we can when they fit a historical blend. The trick is maintaining stability, but we'll keep on trying. :D

We were playing really nice matches tonight, but at the last battle - where we destroyed Germans - the game bugged and said we lost (despite having +50 tickets), since it was the last objective we lost the whole campaign and I heard that if would've won this battle the whole campaign would be won (Germans had very few attack power, fewer than us)... I wouldn't complain if Germans beat us and claim victory, but ending campaign like that was a serious letdown...

I'm sure that means proof, some evidence that they can look at and see what went wrong. Otherwise they only have hearsay and it makes it harder to track down, reproduce, and then fix.

It is more than proof. It is exact steps we can follow to make the issue happen on a dev machine. This will allow us to debug the code as it goes through those steps and find out exactly what is going wrong.

Yesterday I experience a bug. Axis had won all but 1 territory. Axis decided to attack on the last territory but the Allies held out and won the map. But the Axis still got the Victory video at the end and a new campaign started. Has anyone experience this?
