Yeah but the way weapons have been implemented in RO2 means these weapons would be way too common and available on every map, even the maps that take place prior to 42. Im fine with the Luger and MG-42 for the most part, but not the MP-41.

The difference is that not every map for RO1 had MGs even, and not all of them with MGs had MG-42s. Same goes for the MP-41, a rare weapon that was rare in RO1, only on certain maps.

This is exactly what applies to the AVT 40 yet it is still in game. So why no G43?

This.

Neither there were no MP-41s in Stalingrad. They were very rare on the whole and which is most important, MP-41s were strictly used by ORPO and in some cases by the SS. Never by the Heer.

Well, the first AVT-40s came out of factories in July 1942 (production was cancelled in August 1943), so there is a possibility, that some of them made to Stalingrad.

Some sources do say, that the production started in August 1943, which is quite impossible since the production was cancelled at that time.

*Sigh* the MKB 42 excuse. There also could be a possibility of a G41/G43 hybrid with a modified gas system that was airdropped somewhere in Stalingrad.

Not really, since the MKB 42 was never in Stalingrad and everybody knows it. Plus I never understood the implementation of it in the first place.

On the other hand AVT-40 is a whole different story, since first AVT-40s were most certainly distributed to the troops in late summer/early fall 1942. There

GUYS, I am not taling about Stalingrad.
I assure you, soon there will be a lot of custom (fan-made) maps about all periods of Great Patriotic War, and developers must provide as much weapons as they can.
I reminding you that in RO1 you could choose what weapons are avalable on the map and which aren't.

But so far this isn't the case in RO2, some of the maps are supposed to take place in '41 and every weapon is still available on those maps. If the scope of the game did expand to more than 41-42 and the availability of specific weapons changed depending on map/time period than I would say yes.

For now. (In Stalingrad)
P08 Luger ✓
MG42 ✓
G43 X
MP41 X

If Tripwire ever decides to expand RO2 to other places in Russia.
P08 Luger ✓
MG42 ✓
G43 ✓
MP41 ✓ (Would have to be quite rare and only added to maps historically but it wouldn't actually be hard for TWI to make. Just edit the current MP40)

If Tripwire doesn't expand officially the other guns will need to be created by modders.

No theres no such thing as a "G41/G43 Hybird" you either had a G41 or a G43. There were no G43s or Mkbs in stalingrad. Also the only G41(W) in stalingrad was made by Walther, not Berliner-Lubecker.

There is a chance that the AVT was there as stated in this thread. Like stated that AVT wasnt produced very long...it was found that firing the rifle in full auto subjected the parts to much higher stress and ALOT of them broke. A order by the red army also stated that any AVT in the field was TO NOT be fired in full auto. Soo many of them broke they stopped making them and abandoned the project alltogether.

you guys do know that official mp41 was a captured and re-issued ppsh41. not the mp41 like in ro1 that one was basically a fraud of a dessign and a very very rare one at that. ;)

You're talking about the MP41(r) captured and converted to 9mm, we are talking about the MP41.

Two completely different weapons. Google is your friend.
