While i am waiting for the new patch to come out i've been thinking of good movies to watch, can anyone recommend some really good WW2 movies? or WW ones, actually any really good war movies? and please no stock stuff like saving private Ryan and stuff, seen it 1000+ times:IS2:

EDIT: if anyone wants a great movie to watch, watch the Brest castle, awesome Russian movie, in original Russian language with English subs, really got me pumped to get out there and kill some fascist swine!

The Longest Day

The Longest Day

The Longest Day is a good one. Make sure you get a copy with subtitles though.

Watch "Battle of Neretva"! It's an awesome Yugoslav movie about a big bloody battle on the Neretva river between our Partizan liberation movement and the German army aided by local traitor brigades. Trust me, it's one of the greatest movies about WWII. PLS! :D Then tell if you liked it.

Of course classics like:

Das Boot
Stalingrad
All Quiet on the Western Front
Der Untergang

A Bridge too Far (stars people like Ed Harris, Sean Connery, Michael Caine, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, James Caan, Robert Redford)

and a here's a classic little gem of war time in the pacific:

A Bridge over the river Kwai

it even stars Alec Guinness (original Obi Wan Kenobi).

The Counterfeiters

One of the best I've seen, imo, based on a true story, subtitled, easily shows the horror of war and not one battle scene in the movie.
