I recently bought KF. I downloaded it and start it a solo game to get used to it.
When the game started, I just coundl't move out of place.
I can shoot, aim, and if I switch the toggle crouch hotkey to ctrl, I can actually crouch also but I just can't move out of place.
And yes, the WSAD keys are all respectivly asigned to move forward, backward, etc. I did try to switch to other keys but they also don't work.

It feels as though some control options work and others don't.

I did reinstall the game, and the problem is not the keyboard, because I use it to play other games :p.

If someone could help me, I would appreciate it :)
Thanks!

Does it happen in single player or just multiplayer? Can you try switching out keyboards anyway (most people have a spare or can get their hands on a friends/neighbors)?

It happens in both single player and multiplayer mode.
Although I don't have another keyboard (I'm currently playing on a laptop), I went to try it again and I basically discovered this:

Aparently, I can start running if I press the directional buttons (key 2 layout), but once I press the W key or the R key (key 1 layout), It acts like a lock, I'm unable to use the UP DOWN etc button and the others aswell.

Sounds like some combination of keys is triggering a sticky key or keyboard layout change. Try disabling sticky keys:

you can disable it by going into control panel and into Accessibility Options, and under keyboard there is sticky keys along, filter keys and Toggle Keys.

Try playing with those options if any are turned on. Also make sure you have the latest directX build (direct input might be an issue).

One option I've heard that worked for a user using windows 7 with a similar was to run the game in windows XP compatability mode.

Neither the sticky keys nor the other options are turned on :S.

I also thought that it was direct input but, I also think my directX is fully updated (directX 11, I usually update it through the windows update and the graphics card driver is also updated).

I forgot to mention that i bought KF through Steam, is there a way to put Killing floor through steam in compatability mode?

KF is only available through steam (even at retail). Just set the .exe under the steamapps/common/killingfloor/system folder into XP compatability mode.

It worked!
The controls are okay now but theres a new probem, though it is small and it doesn't matter if theres a fix for it or not.
The steam game overlay ui now doesnt display the news and the achievements, is there a way to work around that?
If not then don't worry too much, whats important is that its fixed!

Thanks alot for the help, I appreciate it!
Now I can finally enjoy the game! :)

I had this problem before, if I remember correctly deleting the user.ini file in the KillingFloor system folder fixed it
