Mouse input delayed

I'm experiencing this bug where the mouse + keyboard occasionally gets delayed up to 5 seconds. The fps is ok, and the game just continues (no lags).
The input i give with my keyboard and mouse just shows a few seconds later.

This is making the game quite hard to play and gets me fragged all the time.

I've never had this problem with any other unreal based games (like UT2K4).

Any ideas what is causing this?

Although I did notice it didn't resolve some other people problems, have you turned off the mouse lag setting?

Also whats your version of windows, gfx card etc?

I have turned off the mouse lag setting, and tried most settings on/off.

Windows XP SP3
Geforce 7600
core2duo 1.6
2 GB Ram

Turning graphics settings to either the max or lowest does not make a difference for the mouse and keyboard delay.

It does seem to happen more often as there are more "specimen" near.

I have VSync turned off (tried both on and off) but that doesn't eliminate the mouse/keyboard lag...

Did you force it off in the nvidia control pannel? Some games won't do so unless the driver forces it.

Yes, tried that now. It didn't solve it though :/

Are you using a wireless KB and mouse?

I have it installed on a notebook, no wireless keyboard/mouse.

Now i found out it only happens when in fullscreen.
If I switch to windowed mode the mouse response is perfect at once.

Still hoping someone knows a solution for this

edit: never mind, just lagged while windowed

turn off vsync, reduce mouse lag and mouse smoothing options. they don't affect gameplay any way except badly.

also, does anyone know if the statfps command works in kf?

statfps ≠ stat fps

stat fps will work.
