I think the game is definitely worth the sale price. I was a bit hesistant to buy it during the Steam holiday sale, but it was worth it. The modding community is alive and well are constantly improving or adding things to the game.

mm.. I don't really care about GFX as long as it is fun to play, btw did they get the online part ingame yet or is it add on you need to buy?

MP is in the Addon Warband. I play the beta and I think it will be worth the money once it comes out.

Just wanted to say, I bought this game like 6, 7? years ago, and it's still worth every penny when I pick it up again. I've never even tried the mods. Perhaps the people who weren't impressed by combat should try cutting down someone with an axe at a full gallup. That's where the joy is.
I like it but i never seem to finish it. It lacks long term motivation for me, but I'm eagerly waiting for the MP addon. Also someone needs to mod dismemberments.

I think it has tons of potential, but I too suffer from network strangeness.. guys hit me from afar while spinning around and facing the other direction etc. It would be insanely cool if it took place in a large sandbox world instead of the tiny maps imo.

When I played M&B, I was using Windows XP x86. Today I decided to try it in Windows 7 x64 and I got this :s
I used to get that when i first switched from vista 32 to vista 64, are you running the newest version? And if your on an Ati 3xxx or 4xxx make sure your drivers are up-to-date as a certain older version of their drivers messed up M&B too.

Yeah, M&B has always been a sandbox game. Once I secure a fortress I tend to run out of motivation as well. Plus the warbands get ridiculously huge by then.
Was also somewhat disappointed by seiging the last time I played. It seemed really rough and anti-climactic.

Well I decided to install and play it today (version 1.010) and its working peachy for me, so give it a bump up to the new version if it gets annoying, though you'll probably loose your saves if its anything like the many pre v1 beta updates.
Got bored last night and started making some custom banners (with no real historic/heraldic reasoning behind them )
