OK, as depressing as it is I have to add a game now.

Stalker Call of Pimphat.

It's just... horrible.
Ugly, buggy, crappy weapons, bad dialogue, unimmersive, etc.

Wait for the complete mod. I've never played a Stalker game through without it.

I'm with you on that. I love Shadow of Chernobyl, even vanilla, so I figured that I would probably like Call of Pimphat even more, but I was actually pretty disappointed. It felt so different in an unappealing way, almost like a slightly improved Clear Sky. I must be one of the few who thinks that Shadow of Chernobyl is the best STALKER game.

AvP would be second on my list, but the MP demo alone told me the game was going to be a train wreck. So I curbed my enthusiasm for that game pretty hard, and I'm glad.

It's unfortunate, too. Other than the ****ty performance, redundant campaign and lack of content, there were a lot of good things happening there. Hope Bungie can resurrect the title from suckitude.

That was a real shame... Monolith really should've been the dev, Aliens vs. Predator 2 was one of the best multiplayer shooters I've played. It had asymmetric teams that are actually balanced and play entirely differently from one another.

I'd say Bad Company 2. I knew it was a console game when I bought it, but even my lowered standards were much too high.

I'll disagree. Out of the box, it is the best STALKER game in terms of bugs and gameplay. Immersion was the same as the first game.

The weapons do suck though.

I do hope Super Mod Pack weapons are released for CoP.

Now that I've gotten farther into it, I definitely say Mass Effect 2 is the most disappointing. I know I'm in the minority with that opinion but every mission is pretty much exactly the same just swap out enemy races and level textures and bam you have a new mission. The combat is boring, the level design almost nonesistant (everything is squares and rectangles), the weapons of each class feel very similar, and the story is unengaging (admittedly this may be because I'm not a scifi fan but I still went in with an open mind and couldn't get interested).

I know there is a wealth of dialogue, story twists, and character relationships but it's a game first and foremost and on the gameplay front I think it fails pretty miserably. If I wanted story primarily then I would have just watched a movie or read a book.

I would suggest giving ME1 a try next time you can get it on sale/cheap.

The story is better. But, I guess since you played/are playing ME2, that might male it uninteresting as well.

Combat wise it is worse.

Who's playing ME2 before ME1????? Are you crazy? Stop playing ME2 immediately!

Story is only "worse" in ME2 because it's the middle of the series... and there are some incredible moments regardless.

You can't prone... That's reason enough for some people (like me) to be a little disappointed :troll:

If you could prone you wouldn't be able to run anywhere without the recon fags blowing your brains out with their magnum ammo m95 (it doesn't even benefit from ****ing magnum ammo).

The only real thing about Mafia 2 that disappointed me was the complete lack of side missions. You'd expect a sequel to branch out, not narrow itself. Mafia 1 had side missions where you stole cars for that mechanic by the bridge. In Mafia 2 you have two characters like that, Bruski and Derek, but both of them always just say "come back later". Ho hum.

But the main story was engaging and I genuinely empathized when
Spoiler!

The DLC Joe's Adventures was much more open ended and GTA-like... but it also had arbitrary time limits on missions.
