Really liked how the bolt slid loosely in the first game after firing a shot. Also, those things are LOUD and powerful, so the little "pop" you get when you fire the 91/30 in game should probably be upped a bit lol.

Again, the sounds were recorded by professionals using professional equipment. So the basic dry sound should be authentic, what we're missing on some weapons atm however is the thump or deep bass on some of those sounds, which makes them sound less powerful than in reality.

I had the same opinion. Then yesterday I raised the volume. And bam. Wow. Hardcore, and so realistic sounding. Now I can't get enough of the K98 and Mosin-Nagant. What a joyful experience with the animations and sound effects to go with them.

Keep in mind I have audiophile headphones that are properly equalized to give the sound they are supposed to deliver. Even just plugging in some high end headphones to a computer soundcard gives barely any improvement to just having low end headphones (no bass at all for example, like an empty tin can). They must be set up right.

Only weapon sound problem i have is with the P38, it sounds like a kid's pop gun, the Russian nagant also needs a small bass upgrade, i have a very good headset and 7.1 audio card. So i don't think its just me. :p

TheP38 just needs a bit more oomph, just like the great sound the Kar98 now has.

Honestly, the RO2 P38 sounds exactly like that. It just sounds like it's being fired closer to your ear. I'm really fond of the P38 sound, in terms of both how satisfying it is as well as how real it sounds.

I know they recorded the sounds from the real guns with really nice equipment, but the mosin nagant rifle just sounds too "low" it needs more of that powerfull sound, hard to explain but yeah.

I've got a few Mosins and none of them have what I would call a smooth or easy bolt. You're definitely on the money there!

I think the actual sound they use in the game is authentic, but it should definitely be louder in comparison to the other noise.

The bass should be upped, and the sound of the gun RELATIVE to other noises (voice, music, ambient, etc) needs to be increased.

If any of you have been to the firing range, you know what i mean. Everytime a rifle goes off, you can literally feel the vibrations echoing through your hollow chest
