If you know anything about the Kar98 sniper rifle is that is not possible to use the iron sights seeing the scope is mounted on the rifle itself, not in a way like with the Russian Mosin...

I thought i've seen holes onder the scope, leading to the ironsights..?

Damn sneaky Tripwire editors cut the part where Ramm picked up the PPSh-41.

The point is, you can't use the iron sights on the Kar 98K because the scope is in the way, whereas the PU is mounted on a stand that connect to the M91/30, allowing for use of the iron sights.

His point was there are holes underneath the scope that could possibly allow you to look through them and see the ironsight. Perhaps changing the range with those holes is not possible then, but for longer range you can use the actual sniper scope.
