do you guys think about the medic's weapon?
I think the mp7 is too weak on long range and the rpm is too high.
maybe a medic version of fn fal or some mid-long range low-mid rpm (maybe semi-auto) and mid-high damage weapon can fill this gap.

maybe something like the H&K SL8/9, that will be cool

Why insistent on an FN FAL or H&K SL8/9?

Personally, I don't think that the medic needs a stronger weapon, because the medic is not a combat perk. However, I would like to see medic weapons that operate in different ways, like a medic rifle ;) or a medic shotgun, or a medic pistol.

Obviously, you don't like the Mp7 choice, so maybe you'd like to take a rifle instead?

(That SL8 is nice, actually... looks like the one from RE4! :D)

The SL8 is nice, but personally, I found the bolt action rifle better because of its MASSIVE headshot damage, and how nicely it sounded on Wii (when you fired it, the bolt operating came out of the Wiimote.)

Personally I'd say no. Medic is supposed to be a healing class, and tbh he serves as a utility player picking up the slack of missing perks. I.e. he can make good use of handcannons or the Ak to pick of small foes, take the LAR or Xbow bow to help with big ones, or take the Katana to assist in frontlining in the absence of a Berserker.

Before I would have said an Mp5 with a slower rate of fire, fewer bullets per clip but slightly more damage. Then the Mac-10 came along, so I'd say I'm happy as medic.

Yeah, I used this over the other sniper rifle. It just had a much cooler feel. I played on gamecube years ago, beat it on Professional with 97% accuracy.

The Medic gun is for healing people, not killing specimens. If you want to kill specimens, buy a better bloody gun, or pick a different perk.

The medic already has the four most powerful weapons; insane armor, fastest speed, powerful self-healing, and very rapid healing.

Nope, those four things aren't weapons at all.

I really like the looks of that. Personally, I think that medics should get a recoil reduction for the MP7. In my mind, a medic with an MP7 should be at least as reliable as automatic bullpup. In its current state, I find dual 9mms to be more reliable than the MP7. Hell, if I could, I'd rather replace the flashlight on my pistol with a dart launcher and ignore the unreliable MP7 altogether.

Tbh I don't think a 2nd weapon for Medic (which I would love) should be more powerful par se, just different in function. Since Medic is not supposed to be as powerful as the other perks in damage output, it would be a 2nd rate rifle, or 2nd rate melee weapon, just like the MP7 is a 2nd rate AR (yes I know it's an SMG, but looking at it purely from a "It's a player armament that produces hitscan attacks that do X damage with X spread" gameplay perspective it's a 2nd rate version of a Commando weapon).

However, it makes up for being 2nd rate by also being light in weight and also having a healing attachment. So if you were a typically Commando player going Medic, the MP7 would be a comfortable weapon for you. But what if you play Support? Sharpshooter?

Hence, I believe that Medic should simply get different tier-1 weapons that mirror the other perk's weapons (a small-barrel pump shotgun, a rifle, a light melee weapon) that also have different healing attachments (an AoE healer that uses 100% charge, a more rapid medi-dart shooter that uses 10% charge, a melee weapon that auto-dual-wields the syringe in the off-hand) that allow the Medic to do all of the utility benefits that Jester described (though not as well as the actual perks themselves), while also seamlessly allowing him to be a Medic.

I think it'd be fitting for the Medic's armaments to take a high-tech slant like that, since his benefits (insti-heals, medi-darts) require the greatest suspension-of-disbelief. The Medic is honestly the most unrealistic perk, so it makes sense he would get the unrealistic weapons.

I agree with Salad Snake, there should be lowered tiered weapons with different effects. I've seen more powerful rifles and smgs in each post on medic ideas. I think a defibulator would be a nice choice for a medic close quarter weapon bring a person back to full health, but taking 100% charge and having to fully charge after use, while also doing damage to enemies if used on a zed.

The medic really doesn't need firepower. It's for mantaining the team and keeping everybody alive. (Of course, a passive medic weapon is my preference, but it doesnt need to be in this thread).

And adding any more firepower would really overpower it. I mean, have you seen a level 6 medic's armor, healing, and speed?

Might be a while before an official gun would be put in place. A temporary boost to the medic gun though in the mean time, add some extra ammo to it. 5-10 rounds for the magazine, maybe an extra magazine or two for max ammo. Just until an official gun (if any) is decided on in the future.
