Prerender frames seemed to help a bit. So it is the cause for mouse lag in this patch? In that case it must be reverted back. Nobody likes the infamous UE3 mouse lag, it was fine before this upate. Its going to force a lot of people put the game back on the shelf.

EDIT:
nope no it didnt! it feels my rifle is still underwater. Just felt a little better on the menu.

I noticed this too, like my movements were delayed ... like this bad dream I have where I'm getting chased by a bear but I can only move in slow motion.

I mentioned it in game and people said they hadn't noticed anything. Maybe it's just a setting I have. Will try turning off the one frame thread lag.

Helps a little, not too much. And FPS goes down the drain. But we shouldnt be tweaking anything, it worked fine from release to this patch.

If I disable framerate smoothing and threaded frame lag nothing goes down the drain and it feels more responsive.

What I learned is that this game is untweakable, dont even bother.
Turn off the effects that annoy you and just play.

Damn.

Last patch made my game run smooth, decent FPS, no stutter.
I'm getting slightly, very slightly higher fps now but the game is stuttering like mad.

BUMP.

It's the same exact crap as other UE3 games. Its only responsive at the 66FPS limit, only a little below 60FPS and you start feeling the extra weight on your weapon immediately.

The game worked fine like CSS or any other PC exclusive with direct mouse input, I had perfect responsiveness even at 30-40fps. now it's just like any other console port, requires minimum of 66FPS for good mouse control.

I definitely feel a mouse lag. I agree with the OP, it feels like pre-rendered frame lag. Compared to a game like CSS or RO1 there's just no comparison.

I can't help but feel one of the optimization patches had this side effect.

I agree, not only is the performance like 10x worse, but now its all laggy and floaty feeling.

Yes, my hardware can't maintain 66FPS 110% of the time for decent mouse control so I'm afraid my RO2 times will be history if this isn't fixefd.
