Anyone else noticing smoother fps, but slightly softer feeling on the controls :confused: As if mouse smoothing was turned on, but I havent enabled it.

yeah one thread frame lag disabled makes the mouse sharper, but the loss in framerate trades the advantages back. How to turn off acceleration?
In ROInput.ini

bEnableMouseSmoothing=false

bViewAccelerationEnabled=false

(not sure about
bDebugViewAcceleration=false
but I also have it set to false)

have you tried turning off mouse acceleration, and disabling one thread frame lag.
I have an input cfg that makes the mouse as unaccelrated as possible, I should post it.
Its two fixes:
bViewAccelerationEnabled=false

Bindings=(Name="TurnLeft",Command="Axis aBaseX Speed=-200.0 AbsoluteAxis=100",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="TurnRight",Command="Axis aBaseX Speed=+200.0 AbsoluteAxis=100",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="LookUp",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=+25.0 AbsoluteAxis=100",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="LookDown",Command="Axis aLookUp Speed=-25.0 AbsoluteAxis=100",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

Here it is:

whatever that optimization in the code was it made the game feel slower even when i have 40 fps. Like its in water.

I'm not getting mouse lag (like, delayed mouse movement), but mouse acceleration was indeed ON in ROInput.ini - What gives?

Yeah I noticed it for sure. I checked my config an that view acceleration was on though. So i'll turn it to false an see if that helps any. I don't see how this stuff is getting missed in play testing.

I'm feeling it too, not something major but responsiveness is definitely lower.

Its not just feeling, you can VERY clearly SEE it in the menus when you flick the mouse around. Try it. Before it would be razor sharp movement in menus.

It's not just the mouse. All my movements with keyboard are sluggish, avatar doesn't respond to directional commands well.

Ice skating effect.

Probably something was changed. I wish they'd tell us what.

I think avatar scale is bigger.

FPS seem like before but the avatar movement has more stuttering so it doesnt feel like the fps displayed.

It's not "delayed" as in clearly visible, but delayed enough to make the feel of the mouse a bit more drunk. Try flicking back and forth in menu, then you clearly feel the lag.

Did you try my input ini?
Worked in AA3 too but that game is ****ed up

Tried it now, it didn't change the feel of the mouse just lower sensitivity.
