Since there is no lobby system and its very hard to actually find a game at the beginning of the game, something needs to be done to make playing when yo join mid-game better.

When you join mid game - You don't get dropped into the game you have to freakin sit there and wait for the wave to be over.

And then you spawn with almost no money and this can be very disadvantageous especially in alter waves.

You should be given a bit more money of something when you join mid game.

I totally agree, if no one gives you money after you spawn, you are screwed. Then it's a vicious circle, you can die easily from the lack of decent weapon and armor, and be srcewed again for the next wave.

Spawning 200m away from the shop doesn't help either.

I think a

While more money would be nice, it's not needed.

If everyone is on their way to/or at the shop when you spawn, you have the ability to farm on the way as well. Spawn as a sharpshooter, get cheap rifle and small amount of ammo. Hole up.

The only real difficulties with not having enough money is on Offices and Bio Labs, but theres still enough room to flee or kite XD

Yeah, or make it so the chance of random weapon/ammo/armor spawns is higher after each wave (maybe a simple algorithm like chance x wave?) so that joiners can sell or use the items?

Why try and improve the game when it costs the developers nothing for you to improve your skill?

So joing mid game makes me have less skill?? I'm not talking about doing ****ty and not having money i'm talking about joining late in a game and only having a freaking pistol.

No need to make such moronic inflammatory comments.

And giving joiners more money would hardly cost a lot of dev time...

there's a default value which can be changed... as far as I've noticed its pretty much the same on every server...

Emphasis mine.

Seriously, if your favourite server gives you chump change for starting money, talk to the admin in-game or send him a message. It's not hard.

There's nothing wrong with the pistol. Headshots are still achievable.
If it's too hard for you to try and survive with a pistol or ask for assistance from your teammates, don't play on a hard or suicidal server.

Make the most of what you've got. Don't whinge.
Lucky you've even got a pistol.

Yeah, I have to agree. There should be a percentage increase in the amount of money based on the wave when joining the game late. Not a huge one, but enough so that you can at least purchase your selected perk's primary weapon and some ammo. Of course you can ask those around you for money, but only in an ideal world would one get something out of another person who has been in the game longer every single time.

Skill has nothing to do with this change, and it would be a good idea to add this into the game.

The fact is people who are lucky to get in at the start have an advantage and others don't. People in this forum are so self absorbed.

The majority of psots in threads is

I dun know, I'm a sharpshooter and I'm perfectly fine spawning on later waves and buying a rifle and a couple dozen rounds of ammo. Worst comes to worst, just ask your teammates for some cash assistance.

I've lost count of the number of times I've joined a game just before the Patriarch. My being there increased the Patriarch's health, but there's only so much you can do with the Lever-Action Rifle and not even full ammo.

Scaling spawn cash with waves seems like a way to balance things out a bit.

Usually, by the time the Patriarch comes in, everyone's got enough cash to let you slide by with decent weapons.

I'd go with the cash scaling based on the number of waves. I've had at least a dozen times where I've spawned to fight the patriarch and noone has had (or at least were willing if they did have) the cash to spare. It's true I can usually find an item spawn lying around, but at the same time I risk running into the patriarch or there being only ammo spawns. It's easy to join in at beginner and normal mode, but above that unless you get the fortune of an intelligent group you're pretty well screwed.

If they are willing to drop money and if you didnt spawn too far away from the shop. Sometimes you have less than 10 seconds left to pickup the money and buy something.
