Activision Blizzard Inc. plans to launch an online service called Call of Duty Elite this fall that will work with the next major edition of the game, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," and future installments of the hyper-realistic combat-simulation game
:p
Because "realistic" doesn't quite describe just exactly how realistic that franchise is. It is, in fact, "hyper-realistic" and thus more realistic than reality!

It can also be used to test and experiment with tactics and theories because it is a combat-simulation! For example it can simulate, to a probability of 2.0% with a margin of error no more than 0.5% what would happen if a 13 year-old insurgent joined a battle between hardened pr0 marines only to insult them before he got kicked out for either a) having a squeaky voice, b) being a n00b t00ber or c) shooting the admin while prone, or with some other l4m3 strategy!
This keeps the guesswork at a minimum and helps our troops predict the outcome of potential conflicts!

Good job picking an original title for that new service too! "Elite" I sure do like the sound of that.

In recent news the US Marine Corps is now spending billions in taxpayer money developing a throwable axe made out of a physics defying material ....

I don't think RO:HoS has to worry, as it's clearly targeting gamers. Gamers who want their games a little realistic, sure, but still gamers. Call of Duty is a hyper-realistic combat simulation painstakingly created to suit the needs of military analysts.

Define "hyper-realistic", oh author. So this is what the suits are told to view as realistic.

"Vincent, get me the air-rifle. We're being farked."

[Edit: Oi, wut. That's already been spotted a page ago, me bad, beg forgiveness]
