I see they are adopting the old Hollywood habit of trying to look cool by driving cars where cars usually aren't, and by having some cars apparently be half-invincible while others fly into the air like paper.

Anyways, that seemed to mostly be plot/cinematics, still nothing on anything gameplay wise. However, is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that Russia apparently has the power of all militaries combined? What, did all the nations around the world put their rings together and summon Captain Commy or something? I am rather confused .

I wonder if you will actually drive cars in this game...actually, if they include driveable cars in Multiplayer (especially the invincible ones) I might actually check it out and get into a London Taxi and begin entering a massive Carmaggeddon for giggles.

I want a game where you must fight an army lead by Putin, which ends in a badass boss battle where you have to defeat him at arm wrestling, bear/tiger wrestling, and racing at 200+ mph. It would be amazing AND realistic!

So reusing the same, dated multiplayer and dated engine wasn't good enough. Now they're recycling scenes from their previous titles.

Also, scripted scenes. Scripted scenes everywhere.

My thoughts while watching the trailer: lol.

It's just sad. If the game at least had groundbreaking graphics/animations/physics or something then it could still pass through as a tech demo, but this is just the same old overused stuff and I have enough of it.

Well Duh.

If they had to learn a new engine, it would be harder to get one pumped out every year, they would probably have to get a third team involved to make it happen, and that would not be as profitable!

And besides, it's not like the Consoles have gotten any more powerfull, and as should be obvious from the horrid optimization of Blops, they are still very much the focus of the franchise.

We haven't gone into detail on the engine yet but we've moved beyond the MW2 engine and added a lot of cool stuff for #MW3.

IE: Still the same engine, we just put some work into it to make it have a bit more eye candy.

To be FAIR, the visuals in the trailer did look slightly more impressive than MW2. Bit more visceral, bit more detailed than usual. Not much but it was there.

Well "slightly better than MW2" isn't enough for me. In the end it won't matter much because it'll outsell anything else anyways. Sad story. Wonder if there will at least be any new gameplay features. But right now my first impression(prejudice aside) is very negative.

Would you rather they abandoned the story they started in the first two games? Because that was build up of the invasion seen in this game.

It's going to sell like hot cake, no doubt, but for once, it just might undersell it's former incarnation.

It seems a lot of the CoD faithfull are finally starting to get CoD fatigue, and MW3 doesen't seem to have nearly the same hype around it that a new CoD used to, so it might make less than people expect, atleast on the PC (i'm not really in the know for the Console community).

But ofcourse, there's plenty of new gamers out there who are no where near fatigued yet, so it is going to sell embaressingly well still.

What I love about these "Invasion of America" games and films is that the US are always invaded by evil people that commit mass murders and rape children, that are defeated by a small group of "freedom fighters". Reminds me of that movie from the 80's with Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen, which name I can't remember. Dunno how people haven't got tired of this already. Actually, I don't think they care about this stuff anyway and the only thing they want is the top score of the server using their akimbo AK-47 with x-ray vision and nuclear ammo.

Dunno if Charlie Sheen was in it, but I think you're reffering to "Red Dawn" and check out the scenery used in MW2:

I feel like punching my screen from just watching the videos and the comments involved. Stuff like:

"We need quickscoping and more snipers! I'm sick of there being only 1-2 snipers on a map!"

Screw it. Not touching CoD or Battlefield ever again. I can barely stand CoD 2 or 3 now.
