I guess I can link the video here too:

Davis Family Vacation - Modern Warfare 3 - SPOILERS [HD] - YouTube

Don't watch if you hate spoilers, even lame ones like this. I don't really care too much but this is IW's obvious attempt to have at least one controversial level per CoD game.
Because, you know, throwing in random, tasteless, controversial non-sense makes their games seem more sophistocated ... I guess.

I don't get it either. I find that these kinds of scenes actually have the opposite intended effect -- it's a total joke to have a "serious" scene (though badly written) like this in a MW game lol. You just can't take it seriously given the silly over-the-top tone of these games.

The sewers of Leningrad.
I think this is the first time in a video game where I've seen a child get killed. Unless it was a midget... or maybe she was an android or something... but probably since you don't see itty bitty pieces of little girl everywhere it passed the ESRB inspection.

Metacritic user scores sitting below 3 for any platform it's on.

Haters gonna hate.

Most reviewers are giving it bad scores because "Is the same crap". I agree, of course, its a valid point, but I'm pretty sure most of them did not even play the game.

I really doubt that those who were actually looking forward for it, expected something different. MW2 and Black Cocks have equally bad scores and that did not stop MW3 from selling even more. If someone bought a CoD expecting innovation, he must be stupid, but I'm pretty sure they are just trolling.

The target audience, the majority of customers (those guys who don't even use the internet or at least don't participate on it), are pretty happy with the product.

I finished the campaign yesterday and I really enjoyed it although its not as good as Black Ops was.

For the multiplayer I have a bit of a mixed feeling, the gameplay feels a lot slower then it used to be, making me feel im being punished for being aggresive most of the time.
Quickscoping is now a implemented feature making it cheaper then ever before and people are still camping their *** of when playing the assault strike package.
The multiplayer has frustrated me more then it gave me fun untill now :(

With that being said, I do like it that they promote teamplay a bit more with the support strike package and the new modes are really good.

Glen Schofield begs MW3 fans to help fix the low user scores on Metacritic:
http://csnation.net/content.php?744...-Fans-to-Rectify-Low-User-Score-on-Metacritic

Glen Schofield of Sledgehammer Games has decided the best course of action to rectify Modern Warfare 3's abysmal user scores would be to beg the game's fans to help out.

"I don't usually do this but, if u like MW3 go 2 Metacritic.com & help our user score," writes Schofield. "It's suspiciously low. Be honest but help if u agree."

As noted by IGN, the user scores for Modern Warfare 3 across the main platforms are 2.7 on the Xbox 360, 2.0 on PS3 and 1.5 for PC. The DS version of the game is currently sporting a 0.9 score. All of these scores are based on a 10 scale.

The funny thing is, after he made the Tweet (and he subsequently deleted it), people started to @ reply him informing him that they honest to God hated the game and scored it 0's or 1's and have his Tweet to thank for informing them that they had the ability to score it as such on a site like Metacritic.

Its kinda sad, but he'll get over it once he check his bank account.

So we're back to the usual aren't we? If someone likes CoD, he must be mentally retarded!
But I got to give it to you, instead of your usual "I hate it, therefore everybody who likes it is a retard" attitude this time you go with "I act like I don't care, but everybody who likes it is a retard anyhow". Very refreshing.

I love your interpretations of my posts.

I personally know a lot of people like the ones I mentioned above, I know they are the target audience, they love CoD, they don't surf the internet, and I wouldn't define them as retards, but well, you can think whatever you want, just don't blame me if I offend some complex of yours, cause is not my intention at all.

I probably know just as many people of the type you described, the problem is you always generalize and while doing so make sure you sound as arrogant as possible. There are many people who DO surf the internet, know about BF3 and other CoD alternatives and still prefer CoD. What is very much the case however is that CoD is much better known in the mainstream of the mainsteam mostly because of word of mouth. It's become kinda like FIFA, meaning a game to buy every year without it ever being something completely new. So of course those people will buy it, but not exclusively. There are many hardcore gamers out there who surf all the internet and whatnot and CoD is simply their game of choice because of their personal favor.

I do often get myself into arguements with friends who are exactly that buy-it-every-year type because some of them really don't know any better and it's annoying to have them talk like CoD was the summit of gaming creation. CoD is best in what it does in, ie. offering a 5h hollywood campaign, rather simple yet addicting multiplayer and coop for when you have friends over. The fact that it's pretty much always the same every year is something that should be recognized, yet every of the series' games stands for itself and as such doesn't suck in the leading public opinion. But again don't generalize. Or at least learn how to argue without sounding like a ..whatever word you prefer.

If I generalized I would have used the world "all" instead of "majority".

The scores and the trolling in Metacritic (of all CoDs since MW2), together with the trolling in forums, plus the extremely low % of PC sales, indicates that most of the active internet community hates CoD.

The only way to explain their results then, is that their target audience, and the majority of their customers are not part of it.

always generalize

Thats a pretty bad generalization right there.
