Midnight Launch was fun and better organised then last year.

Played the game later on, great singleplayer, makes me wonder why Call of Duty always seem to succeed where other fail miserable.

Cant wait till im home again to continue :D

Joystiq - 4.5/5
CVG - 9.0/10
Shacknews - No score given (this is a common practice with Shacknews, and no review ever carries a score)
Giant Bomb - 4/5
G4TV - 5/5
Destructoid - 9.5/10
IGN - 9.0/10

Sounds like more of the same if you go through the reviews. The campaign leaves you wanting more and will take most players roughly six hours to complete, give or take. The gameplay is nearly identical to previous versions of the game. The multiplayer is some of the strongest yet for the series but is missing some of the additions that Black Ops introduced that were an improvement for the series.

As if this really needed to be said, it looks like all of the sites reviewed the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Amazing how almost all of the reviews say how it's more of the same, outdated graphics engine, lacking SP campaign, etc... yet still score it as highly as they have. Derp.

Except when I said "this is sad" I wasn't talking about the merits of the motivation of the perpetrators or the soundness of their plan, but that an attack took place at all, you methodical psychopath.:p

Sociopath, it's called a Sociopath now, they changed it :p

What you must understand, the majority of the CoD fanbase don't want it to change, it's a bit like Pokemon, it's fun because it's good at what it's doing and will almost always be fun because it does what people expect it to. What would the MW franchise actually benefit from getting a new engine, or from changing Thier weapon handling?

Now this doesn't completely excuse them or fuxking things up and blaming others for the problem, or charging ridiculus excess for such little content, or for completely betraying a large portion of your fansbase because of some ptoential $$$ in the future (if you haven't yet caught on, I'm talking about MW2). But if keep doing what you do best, and actually STRIVE to keep your fanbase happy, you will always get good merits from the community.

The inflated scores are pretty obvious. Do these CoD kiddies want to read about it? No. They want to look at what it was scored. The higher the score the more they trust the site that it was scored and the more they visit it. Either that or its just the usual producer bribery.

Couldn't resist. With the christmas bonus on my account and a nice birthday discount coupon for the retailer of my choice, I bought it.

SP is, as was expected, a silly, over the top adrenaline rush, honed to absolute perfection. And they managed to avoid the "shooting gallery feel" of MW 1+2 and BlOps, I haven't encountered an instances of enemies popping out of the same window numerous times until you move on. It's really a fun SP experience on PS3.

But I do find it quite amusing that it shares quite a lot with other triple A titles that came out recently, namely Uncharted 3 and BF3:

So only hard games deserve high scores and games that appeal to a huge crowd dont deserve these scores?

As long as you make a good game you deserve a high score.

Also, while I'm not one to defend CoD, you can't blame it from being easy, at least in SP. That is, as long as you chose the appropriate difficulty level.

On a spoiler sidenote, I liked the "Team America" moment:

You know I think I know my biggest deterrent from the game is probably the 1 man supah soldur thing... like it only takes one man to start a global conflict crap... I mean he has to have some kind of incentive even Gavrilo Princip had some incentive. I get it is possibly, but just the way they advertised it is just aggravating somehow.
