For some reason I actually like it the more footage I watch. Might buy this for PS3 when it's down to 20
Well to be fair they even offer free dedicated servers, something BF3 doesn't have. Not sure about their motives for that decision though, but I don't really care either.

Robert Bowling announced that MW3 will have a LAN mode. Now I'm curious how this is supposed to work though since afaik it's steamworks-bound.

That said, he IS right about a few things. After all, despite what many would see as common sense, the demand is UP for these games and Activision is catering to that demand, even if they are basically money grubbing corporate tycoons.

TBH we don't even know if LAN will be in BF3 ... and given all of this Origin business, I'd wager that it's not if I had to guess.
Hell even Starcraft 2 got rid of LAN. As silly as it sounds, these are mostly decisions made because of piracy and the desire to have total control and ability to observe player activity.
So as much as I loathe what CoD has become, I have to tip my hat at this decision, as silly as that might seem ...
