Yea I read that today ... pretty much the entire original Infinity Ward staff has left! Suck on it Kottick -- even though I'm sure this matters little to your short term money gains.
That said, it's clearly the beginning of the end of COD being a profitable and popular franchise. They'll run it into the ground with some ****ty spinoffs and it will be over.
Jesus I just wish Blizzard would get as far away from Activision as possible ... I fear my favorite developer is already being corrupted...
Wanna take a guess that with SC2's each campaign uses their own disc (which must be invidually bought) and that SC2 will feature monthly fees in Russia are both masterminded by Kotick?
Also it was already announced the game will be sold for 60 euros, with the split they've done to the campaigns that essentially means 180 € for one game.
I already decided NOT TO BUY, I hope some will do the same. I will only get it as a budget a year or so later.

Why, you will still be giving them money (and thus supporting stupid ****e like MW2 and other games like that). Either you buy it, or you don't.
Disagree here. I am objective. I buy a game for what it's worth. If the game is as long and good as Starcraft incl. Broodwars was, I will buy it for the same price I got those. If that takes four years, so be it.
If it takes so long the game has lost its interest, then I'll never get it.
That's probably what most people will do, yes.Buy the campaign of your favourite race and 'acquire' the rest

No, what makes you think that? I would never buy MW2 lol. I have played CoD 4 for a while though, I wish I hadn't...
I don't consider myself a hater but if Call of Duty 7 by Treyarch has everything CoD:WaW had in terms of multiplayer features and the setting/story is interesting enough and I can get it for a reasonable price(meaning not above ~36
