I don't think the turret damage type means anything because it can't even get headshots and even if it did the class couldn't find a player to give perk exp and this is unwhitelisted so perks are disabled.

Netsky servers use Marco's ServerPerks...

On a side note, i usually see the turret doing chest to head shots..

I was talking about Marco's Serverside perk system, and I can assure you that it gives headshot credit and kill credit.

All right, I'm puzzled as ever. Just to test possible mutator incompatibility, I disabled all mutators except the custom shop. Played through, got 3k Dosh, attempted to buy Sentry. As much as I click "buy weapon", I only get the buying sound and nothing more.

Single player still works fine, it seems.

EDIT: Noticed that if I deleted the turret files from my laptop's system folder, my laptop will not attempt to DL the turret files from the server. Could that be the issue?

Sounds like you didn't add it to the serverpackages if it's not making you DL it.

That said, not adding it to the server packages would also bodge it up.

Marco, I don't suppose it'd be possible to get a version of this with kill/exp credit removed?
Yes I may remove "sniper" damage type from the hit damage type so it does not HS specimen on next version (it just sounded more logical if they did make head-shots, but didn't think about the perks progression).

Would it be okay for you to post the source files and everything...

I would like to make texture changes and add some stuff...

Like a firebug version of this that has reduced damage but flame damage

Awesome, thank you.

Balance-wise, I think headshot killing is fine, it's only the perk progression that is an issue;
Everyone is really sad that we've removed the turrets because of it.

Played around a bit. Four players, but I had the faked players mutator activated so the map thoguht there were ten people playing. Hard difficulty. Bunch of different mutators.

After the first wave--there were like 300 zombies--we got our first turrent. After that it was all downhill for the poor specimens.

i cant seem to get this to show in the custom trader or reg trader?

i have this :"ServerPackages=KFPortalTurret"

under [engine.gameengine]

i have all files in the system folder, but still i dont seem to see it in the trader?

i can spawn a stationary turret using adminplus..................

any suggestions?

You need the custom shop mutator, as mentioned in the first post.

i installed the custom trader, but, in my admin panel, theres a section called, "weapons for sale" and it says there that it cant be edited???

when i go in KF, and then solo or host, i can edit the trader there, but not on my hosted game server web admin panel???

the trader still looks the same as defaukt trader?

so what am i doing wrong?
