Gee, I wish Tripwire had a mapping contest that would result in making the best of the submitted maps official!

No offence but TWI is too slow with providing maps, mapping contest or not. Why dont you yourself have more people working on maps? They came out way faster with RO1. If you are not able to speed things op this will just remain a niche 1000 player game. Maps are essential right now since the maps that game with the game are not focussed on optimal gameplay.

No offense, but do you actually know what you are talking about? RO1 maps are relativley basic compared to RO2 maps, the engine is different and more in depth, the detail has been upped massivley and all gameplay changes have to be taken into consideration (Bullet penetration, Cover Nods, AI paths, shadows). And you can't have every employee at TWI making maps because it's a departmental t'ing, gameplay coders won't / can't work on maps because they have other tasks to complete (bug crushing).
