Hello! I am starting a mod, and just wanted to make sure that I am looking in the correct directory. I have the steam beta file system, BTW. I am looking in the red orchestra common folder, this is where I will make changes to the scripts, correct? I want to make sure I don't mess up my install of Red Orchestra, if that's even possible, in other words, I don't want to mess up my base install.

I now understand these packages, specifically the sound packages. The packages are a similar grouping of sounds used in the game, ie. german voices. I want to know how i can change the sounds within these packages, I tried Dragon Unpacker, but no luck. How can this be done? Thanks!

Dont try to edit any of the original game data (e.g. Dragon unpacker) as it will likely screw with validity checks of some sort (checksum / md5). Now if your just using the unpacker to find the right sounds then thats fine. If you want new sounds then you need to overide them by subclassing or creating a mutator (or both). And Im not the one to ask about that as my understanding is still mucho abecedarian.

I didn't any of the game data. I didn't do anything to it, because I wanted to make sure I'm going to edit the correct things. I want to know how to make a 'mod folder', like how when you make a mod for half life 2, it has the mod wizard which copies all the files and puts them in a folder for you. How does unreal handle this? I have the SDK.

So those command line switches go into the steam shortcut? I don't quite understand that.
