I feel that there is a lot to be learned from these guys. A lot of stuff that even TWI would benefit from.

I'm having a lot of laughs watching these guys adventuring. Deadpan mother****ers. It has 27 parts. This is the first one.

I like how the characters turn their heads, looks pretty cute.

Too bad watching videos of people playing it is actually more fun than playing it myself... maybe multiplayer is more fun? Dunno. If you guys set up that TWI server, I might buy it.

Yep Yogscast is great. I love theirs commentary and adventures. Those videos actually pretty nice describes how amazing is minecraft. Player is author of his own game. If somebody is to lazy to create something, you always can download one of the hundreds custom scenarios available for minecraft. Yogscast have some videos from that games too.

I wonder how they did it, do you think it's all scripted? Like they laid out the story and characters beforehand? And do they know these people they meet during their adventures? Or is it more or less completely unscripted?

All "NPCs" are actual players, let's say actors and everything is setup, but in video it looks like RPG adventure. No scripts here

This is the kind of stuff Minecraft needs, custom quests, but as of now that's impossible without setting everything up beforehand with people you know. Some kind of quest-generator would be great.

Sorry I misunderstood you.

Flying Zeppelin was scripted, movie like. You're right here. I don't remember cannons though but you can do real cannon in minecraft w/o using any scripts but game elements.

Custom quest are coming in two ways:
- Notch, author of MC announced achievements or quest for players who don't have idea what to do in minecraft and play alone.
- Community starts developing mods and addons with NPCs and scriptable elements. You actually can do everything what you want with those addons. E.g. put NPC with quests for your server community and create adventure areas with traps, dungeons and treasures.

Are you sure you can create a cannon in MC? One that actually shoots a cannonball I mean. This game desperately needs more fun elements, but the potential is there.

I think 70% of story was planned, but that's not a point. I like Yogscast show cause of their comments

You can make a cannon, that shoots TNT... so that's even more fun

MineCraft is just so fun. Letting your imagination go wild. It's fun to do that

By nature i'm quite, structured and logical and being able to just let my imagination wander is a treat. Even if it is in a videogame.
