Always wondered why the mod never had dismemberment as Unreal 2004 did. It'll definitley add to the feeling you're in a war.

Looks like there is no screen darkening when you raise IS....good.

I always leave both eyes open when firing a rifle, helps my aim actually.

Anyway, screens = gorgeous. Smoke = incredible.

Related to firing with both eyes open.

I personally can shoot with either eye, and in games I literally cannot process how (when the gun is on the right) when you lean to the left around a corner or even "edge" around a corner in the mod you can still fire. Its one thing that really gets me becuase I can do it both ways IRL. I dont know how right handed shooters could shoot leaning left.

Could some military person answer this?

Its a real time player who died :)

Wow, then you guys have really outdone yourselves. The way the body is laying with the hand and the blood on the ground...I swore that was a static model.

I don't want people to think I appreciate this kind of thing just out of morbid fascination or desire for gratuitous gore, but because it is things like this that will make RO a true simulator of infantry combat. Maybe people will pause and think about the horrors of the real Ost Front and the human cost of the war when they go through a scene like that in game.

Or you'll get people walking up to the body and prodding it with their bayos...

mmm i wonder if we can make a new version of "mine" (the BF2 movie... if you havent seen it SHAME ON YOU)

"mine? " *click* BOOM!
but with a satchel or something and flying body parts :D

(edit : ok im in a nice mode, heres a link to the move for your poor sods that havent seen it yet
http://videogames.yahoo.com/predownload?eid=397471 )

one thing has me worried thou... the front sights on the SVT look to be a whole lot thinner then the ones on the russian rifle in earlier screenshots.
the one on the rifle looks verry wide to me... will it really be that wide?

With the gore implemented, does this mean we will also have full-fledged gibbing now as well?

I don't mean gamey gibbing like in UT2K4, but if an arty round lands exactly on top of someone, or someone gets hit with a burst of like three 20mm rounds, will they actually be comletely severed and basically....well you know, just mush?

Has anyone else noticed that they keep showing pics in which soldiers have their weapons shouldered? I've been playing the mod for a long time now but I can't think of whether or not the weapon on the shoulder was animated. Is it possible this is a new animated function of shouldering your weapon?

I don't recall seeing anyone with a shouldered Weapon, though it might have slipt by me...

That's not shouldered. That's "Stored" or some term...

Shouldered means you is gonna fire it.

Sorry, but i dunno how shouledered is used in day to day english, but in my dictonary its the translation for "geschultert" and this means to carry something with/over the shoulder...

the guns are "slung" (lol, did I make that word up?) As in on the back, held on with a sling?

-=KnIfE=-

Slung means that your using a Sling to propel it away... or that one has something wrapped around something else...

I might be wrong though, since English ain't my native Language
