im getting "microstuttering" on station(same spot as OP), pavlov and barracks.

Same. It's not bad bad, as in it's still playable. But it's annoying all the same. Especially so when you do stat fps and see the fps is a pretty consistent 55-60.

And just like you, the other maps are perfectly smooth.

I'm also getting stuttering. On station, barracks, and pavalos house.

In the beginning of the map everything is fine, but after a while I get stuttering.

I only play on 64 servers btw, if that has anything to do with it.

I have the same experience, at first I thought it was a memory leak, but after running some tests and monitoring task memory it appears that there is another issue causing the problem (although my tests are not conclusive).

I will continue to try alternatives, but as of now, I am rapidly running out of options.

I get the stuttering in pavlovs house too - near the two huge buildings in soviet end especially.

If you have decent fps but have micro stuttering go into you RO engine file in my documents search for [TextureStreaming] under it is PoolSize set it to half your video card ram.Example I have 1024 Vram on my card so I set pool size to 512.Unless its been changed the default was 140 this will help you card load textures more efficiently.

Should help with micro stuttering just dont set it no higher than half your Vram or you could have stability problems.

Thats actually a good point, I've done that tweak plenty of times before to great success ( like an extra 15 fps ). But I'd forgotten to re-do it after verifying cache at one point...

Indeed not tried many memory cache settings since last patch and not sure if I have come across that one 'TheRealGunther'. Giving it a runout now :D

Wish me luck :D :D :D

Pavlov's house for me is the WORST...its horrible, I really hope they can fix this in the next patch. But I do also get stuttering on other maps as well...

What's the location of the Engine file?

Can anyone confirm this?

it seems to help a bit. I had to set it to 384 since i have 768 vram on my card.

I still get some stuttering on pavlov, and i havent properly tested station yet.

No, it's fine in station in the beginning, but when you get into the building it starts stuttering. Especially near the soviet end of the building. I'm not even playing the game anymore because of the stutter, it's so annoying.
+1
Even lowering sound settings to 16bit and channels to 16 etc does not make a difference.
Setting the streamingtexpoolsize to 512 (1GB vidcard) has a slight influence to it.

It's the sound problem. The game stutters when you shoot your weapon, when bombs explode, etc. So when you play with more people, there's more gunfire in general, hence the game stutters more.

Yes, changed my sound config to 8 channels and low sound quality and it's running a lot faster (gained +20FPS).

ps.: But it still stutters :(

Just set it to 32 channels low quality the sound difference is minimal.

Afaik less channels means less sounds as when i set it to 16 on my machine i occasionally dident hear sounds around me.

BTW: to all those out there with dual GPU cards or crossfire, get radeon pro. Turns out my 4870x2 ( one card ) IS internally crossfire. Using radeon pro more than doubled my fps on higher settings.
