Sound Mic Issue

hey guys;

I have a mic, and it works perfectly. It works on TS, MSN, whatever you need it for, EXCEPT RO. I press the button, defined to "Home" but it will not come up. (The meter for sound volume when speaking) and noone can hear me at all. Can anyone help me with correcting this?

Is it a USB headset? - mine is and that doesn't seem to work either. Something about detection of only the primary microphone input ( through soundcard) or something. Don't think it works on any game running though steam actually (HL+DOD ive tried)
Of course if anyone knows how to get a USB headset working on RO i'm all ears...

Right so your in home channel but your holding down your mic activation button when speaking? (Default: Scroll Lock)

no, its through the normal phone and mic jacks. (through soundcard) it has worked before, but the botton simply isnt recognising the command. Before, I did it without a mic (before I even had a mic) and the little meter came up, but now the meter wont even come up when I press the button. Again, the mic works on TS and MSN and all that jazz, so it must be a Red Orchestra problem.

EDIT: It does not work on either Public or Team channels in game.
