I imagine their first priority was to include one MG for each side that was extremely common in Stalingrad. I think you could bet money that the MG42 will arrive in a free content pack post-release, though.

And YES I recognize the irony in the above post. Please refrain from inevitable Mkb42 references. I'm just covering my *** ahead of time on this one.:IS2:

That wouldn't be authentic, because the PPsh-41 has an standard drum magazine with 71 rounds or a clip with only 35 rounds (like the PPS-43)


Early war they had drums only. Later war they got sticks and typically carried one drum, maybe two, and the rest in stick mags. That is the most realistic choice. There is a huge and detailed thread on this.
