I just like how everytime TWI announces new content it always ends up in stupid arguments and *****ing. One way or another. Can't we just be happy we're gonna get new content? But no, of course, it's just no enough right? I get it you guys love this game and want it to be amazing and all, but goddamn, it's already three years old. IMO it's a miracle we still have new content.

Yeah thats true! However what else is there to talk about then? Only saying: I am happy...
You dont need a forum for that. It at least shows people still have interest in this game and the forum, which really needs more active users.

I'm ok with people wanting new content, that's totally normal. But it seems people are never satisfied with anything. Anyway, that wasn't intended to everyone, just those beeing negative about this upcoming patch.

Team Fortress 2 is 7 years old and still content coming. Heck, even a huge update is coming with new weapons and that sorts of stuff. 3 years for a PC game is in its infancy years. The ability for the community to contribute and mod is practically what PC gaming is all about and keeps games alive. Trust me, even if RO2 wasnt ever released, ROOST would still be flourishing with community mods such as tanks. That gaming community would be more than alive, and i can guarantee you that. :) Just look all the hard work the Immersion mod team are doing for this game. Just outstanding what the community can do.

So much German bias here yet I still don't get why the Germans advanced weapons like the Mkb in Stalingrad yet the Soviets get PPS-42(which PPSh-41 was better) and now the MG42 being added so why not let the Soviets use atleast a prototype of the RPD LMG.

RPD hm
Work on the weapon commenced in 1943. Three prominent Soviet engineers were asked to submit their own designs: Vasily Degtyaryov, Sergei Simonov and Alexei Sudayev. Among the completed prototypes prepared for evaluation, the Degtyaryov design proved superior and was accepted into service with the Soviet armed forces as the 7.62 mm Ручной Пулемёт Дегтярёва, PПД (RPD, Ruchnoy Pulemyot Degtyaryova or "Degtyaryov light machine gun") model 1944. Although the RPD was ready for mass production during the final stages of World War II, large scale delivery of the weapon did not begin until 1953.[1] During the Vietnam War, the RPD served the Vietcong as their standard light machine gun.
so that weapon would actually mean: Give us G43, Stg44, IS-2, Panther and TIger IIs

MG42... hmm Maschinengewehr 42...
The weapon was officially accepted, and the main manufacturing of the production design began in 1942, as the MG 42, contracts going to Gro

which atleast had been Prototypes manufactured in the respective years: 41 and 42

Gewehr 41
Designed 1941

and produced i think von 41 to 43

and the MKB42 was 1942 (and try to replace it as veteran unlock for the German Elite Assault... we had a little discussion where it ended with the Mp38 as a reskin for the MP40... and the sovjet weapons of the Elite Assault class which already is the hero unlock) while the RPD begun development in '43

MKB42 were definitly handed over to the Wehrmacht for testing in late 1942. Its not likely they were used at Stalingrad. I heard someone explaining some might have been brought to stalingrad via airbridge but I doubt the Wehrmacht would waste a protoype like that... The tiger however was wasted like that(Beeing tested unfinished and in bad conditions loosing to loss of secrecy) so who knows?

Actually the MkB42 was first handed it over in February 1942, they airdropped 35 of the 50 prototypes in existence in there and it worked out fine. What's to say they didn't sneak some into Stalingrad too?

And for the MG42, they were quite certainly at Stalingrad, besides that list of about 4 there you have 18,000 made in 1942, surely a few hundred at least made their way into the largest battle of that year.
And then there was also the MG39/41, its direct predecessor who was likely also somewhere in the area.

MkB42, PPS43, and AVT40 were not in Stalingrad, but MG42 was in VERY small numbers (according to a unit formation card) and G41W is shown in a few pictures.

For G41, this picture is from a series of photos that are quite popular of a German squad fighting in the factories: (Man crouching on the right)

Spoiler!

Aside from this, the game is now expanding beyond Stalingrad with some of the newer maps released, where some of those rare weapons would atleast have more chance of being used.

Seeing as Tripwire did make the PPS43 for the Russians recently, I don't understand why TovarishTony is complaining they are going to give the Germans an extra gun now... how can one complain about MORE GUNS? :D

If we are going beyond Stalingrad then might as well add the DPM,M38 Carbine,RPD(Limited use in WWII),etc and I will kill Fritzes even with MG42s using the PPSh-41.

Is there any documentation of it in Stalingrad? MkB prodution was before the battle too.

i found this photo, description says that this is german oficer with captured AVT in Stalingrad.

i cant say that this is true because i cant see the hole near the trigger on the right side and letter "A".
Anyway i dont understand why you doubt that AVT was in Stalingrad. Production was started much earlier, and it wasnt super rare.. well it was rare but not rare as mkb42 was. Sadly i didnt find even approximate number of produced AVTs, but many modern SVTs are modifyed AVTs ( for example hickok45 video with SVT is AVT without full auto because his rifle has letter A ),
also many modern hunting carbines in russia are modifyed AVTs. I think it was at least on g41 level by rarity.
