Nah

Nah

I like h3n3rys idea of the setup mg staying when the user dies.

This is only a slight change on the current system.

Its not like when the mg'er dies his gun magicly falls over.

Its exactly like the current system but more realistic and cooler I think it should be used.

I want stationary tripod MGs that can be manned by anyone but not moved. I don't care how much of a nade magnet they will be, they were nade magnets in real life, I'd wager. And you could lay down some nasty covering fire if it were placed properly.

Ok that's good, I'll just hope they will stay longer than 2 mins at least...

They stay as long as the other guns :s You can pick em up like other guns. And use em like other guns. Really, there is no difference.

I meant all dropped weapons in general.

Isn't this static MG thing sort of redundant, if you can pick up the MG why not just do that and deploy it yourself
Because it was already deployed.

Why pick-up a deployed weapon to deploy it again?
That's just retarded IMO.

That's why I came up with this system, well forget the deployed gun that becomes static when the gunner dies.
Let's just say it should remain deployed even after you "Picked Up" that rifle.

One possible problem is that a machinegun deployed on a window ledge would then be floating if the operator died. Too much effort for not a whole lot of gain, the current system does it for me just fine.
