Currently you do the barrel swap, put back in the old magazine, then hit reload, yank that magazine out and then put in a new one. If the mag was already empty why would you stick it back in the weapon?

Yeah im going to guess its easy to overlook as the single drum never gets removed while doing a barrel swap.

This problem is annoying enough for me I would voluntarily go back to the single drum MG.

One of my best ish rounds yet was about 60 Kills in the round without dieng as a MG34 Gunner, I got re supplied over 5 times and barrel swapped at least three times ( each time the drum was empty ). I tend to use 3 shot bursts when shooting at targets as it keeps the barrel cooler for longer.

I'm not sure what you are getting at.

You mean, you auto reload when you change barrel? Or you put the same empty mag back onto the gun after you change barrel?

you put the same empty mag back into the gun after doing a barrel swap.

Im not sure how this works with the belt fed.

For the single drum because it hangs off to the left, which when the gun is flipped around becomes the right, it is out of the way of the barrel and stays on the weapon while doing a barrel swap. The double drums right side drum would block the barrel from coming out so the drum is removed before doing a barrel swap.

Can someone with the MG Belt please comment on how that works?

simple solution:

Get rid of the silly saddle clip, as far as I'm aware they weren't that common...

They should just give you belts, and the unlock being if you hit reload while using a belt you clip another one onto the end..

Belt stays in the gun. Attached video shows barrel change and demonstrates another bug I reported in this thread

Hohoho, Santa has come to town with his 1000 Rnd belt and three team mate helpers to hold my chain/clip more on and he is here to put little cherry donuts on the russian uniforms....:D

Actually if team mates could help you reload your belt fed ( IE the walk up and can hit G to re supply, or double tap G to spend some extra time clipping their ammo onto yours ( max belt length 500? )) I would be in 7th heaven, yeah thats the one with a deafness problem...

I explained the bad quality in the thread I linked. I just downloaded fraps to show that bug, recorded 1 gigabyte / 20 second video and decided I need to download a program to make it smaller for the upload. It was called Virtualdub or something like that. It did make it smaller but ruined the quality, which I didn't care because I knew there would be good chance all of my efforts to report a bug would be ignored anyway. So I didn't bother to learn how to use those programs properly.
